Good:
Soligo
Max
Rankine
Fog
Keane
Worrell

Bad:
McSpudley
Hindenburg
Not being able to get a HTB decision to go our way.

Ugly:
Port - are poor, have they had an easy draw, how are they in the 8?
Nicks - where do you start?
  • Selecting Ned
  • Selecting Hindenberg
  • Subbing Curtain, disgusting for the kids first game
Good or Bad:
We could be a better side with a few player changes and player role changes, but Nicks aint going any where so we are wasting another season

Escaped one there against Port, which makes it pretty sweet.

Good:

We may have just seen Soligo breakout into a star of the competition there. Really led from the front in a big game.
Rankine and Rachele was dangerous throughout and popped up with some key plays when needed. It was a scrap and our x-factor smalls produced.
Best game of the season from Fogarty. Early goals and the lad was immense around the ground.
Dawson, Laird and Crouch dug in and did a good job preventing a lot of fluency from Ports mids - that was the most dangerous part and they smothered it.
Defensively, I thought we were excellent. Worrell, Keane, Butts, Hinge and Max all came up with big plays and whilst they got lucky Port went 5.18, they did force difficult shots.
Nankervis took the biggest stage he's faced so far and came up with some big plays. Very promising.
Curtin looks a likely type, got unlucky being the odd-man-out with the sub seeing Hinge and Nankervis was balling and us having a sub that was going to move to the half back flank.

Bad:
Heat stepped up and Cook just disappeared.
That lack of fluidity in our ball movement - especially in the first 10 minutes of the last quarter. We looked like the moment got the better of us and lost all creativity and drive.
Worrell getting a 50 meter penalty, taking his time and turning it over on a 20 m kick. That dude got away with the kind of play that could have easily lost a game.

Thanks Powa. Playing Jones on Fog. What idiot thought to do that and give us a great start? Genius!

Was that Smith who kicked it out on the full? Dead set right on cue. Retire.

Only disgusting decisions were subbing Curtin and playing ned McHenry. Can not believe Nick's tarnished a players first game for an old cooked Smith and one touch
Hey now, we have had Bigfooty experts visually confirm Curtin looked tired on the bench. Case closed.

Nicks was so reluctant to bring Worrel in originally. Supporter pressure forced his selection. Now he's a star.

No it didn't.

Doedee doing an ACL forced that selection (and a concussion the year before). Doedee was the problem Worrell faced, seeing we've only seen him as a third tall and he had a rather solid senior player being the incumbent.

Good

fog, soligo, nank, worrell, rankine, tex, keane, butts, sholl

Bad:

mchenry - seriously.. the lad is absolute crap. Looked like he hobbled off at the end of the game though so hopefully wont be available next week. But will probably be replaced by that i\other useless waste of space murphy..

Laird - complete hack

ROB - bloke is the reverse midus.. everything he touches just turns to shite.

Ugly

Nicks subbing Curtin off for a cooked smithers.. why the fuxk would you?.. does he seriously have so small amount of confidence in our youth?..

The first of many Showdown medals for Soligo.

What a player he is going to be.

Fancy if we played him in the middle the first few weeks...
Fancy if we played him in the middle from the beginning. Remember arguing with a few very early that get him off the wing and put him in the middle. He could have had 40 games in the middle by now.

And how about that idiot Nicks subbing him against Collingwood last year. Or starting him sub against Gold Coast. Now go back in time, had Soligo finished his year last year like he’s playing now, would he have been the sub? Hell no!!!
