Souttar is a football dinosaur so to speak, good player but wrong fit for a team looking to play out from the back, which I presume Maresca does coming from the Pep production line at the City Group like Arteta, Ange, Kompany etc.

Injuries, was unfit and was completely out of form.
Pretty amazing career recovery at 31. Back in national team and his club team currently on track to return to the prem.

He probably was at the end of what he could achieve in Japan but damn, if it was me, I would sit out for a few months to wait and see what jobs became available in Europe in the second half of the season and give it another crack.
Whats the chances of Harry Souttar finding a new club in January? His to much of a talent just sitting on the bench in the Championship. Has to be a clash between him and coach
As your a Liverpool fan like me, I wouldn't mind him as a back up and replacing JM as his gone.. id be happy with Virgil and Konate as the 2 main men with Harry there as a backup
