Sorry to say but Artie has the tools but not enough polish. If he can clean up his disposal/decision making he would be a great pressure forward but I think the mountain to climb for him is a little too high. Clarke a much better option.

I'd like to see him get a run at half back and work on becoming a replacement for JJ. His goal kicking is terrible but his field kicking is alot better.

Are sanders stats always this heavily tilted to handballs than kicks?

I'm not completely sure, but he's doing the in and under work today. One or two times he might have been able to kick it, but the handballs have usually been the better option.

The only thing letting him down at the moment is his goal kicking. Kicks it well for a future defender though

He’s an inside mid, like Libba, so yes. His role is to set up team mates on the outside in space. His football IQ is extraordinary, and his greatest strength.

He Averages about 50/50 at both VFL and AFL level, the difference today is he is playing more of an extractor role rather then as a receiver.

Nice to see him bounce back with a couple of goals this quarter. I still think he's worth persevering with.

A second goal for Arty is good to see too. Big quarter so far for the Dogs.
