I think Khyber is a strong possibility.
I’d pass on that. Doesn’t impact the way you’d like.

Bollocks. Proven potential as a silky linker.I’d pass on that. Doesn’t impact the way you’d like.
He's a big boy isn't he?Long looks like Mihocek for the midfield.
I wouldn’t have minded Derksen, reckon he would have fit the archetype we are looking for.
Maybe. To the eye he’s a more refined, slightly faster version of Rupert Wills. Whether or not that can translate at AFL level is up for debate.Long looks like Mihocek for the midfield.

If we do take him, I'd prefer us to take him at the end of the year rather than in the MSD.Maybe. To the eye he’s a more refined, slightly faster version of Rupert Wills. Whether or not that can translate at AFL level is up for debate.

His best performance at AFL level is still well below Fins best showing, or even Fins debut in his first year for that matter. If we do take him, I'd prefer us to take him at the end of the year rather than in the MSD.
My big fear is that the bleating about Mitchell, JDG, Pendles, Nick and Crisp keeping Macrae out of the team is just going to double if they're keeping Macrae and Long out of the team.
Apparently, he's dislocated it several times this year, so not a one-off injury, FWIW.I read dislocated toe. If that’s accurate, it’s not a season ending injury.
I thought Teakle impressed pre season, I was surprised how competent he was forward, he'd go ok as the chop out ruck next to Checkers and relieve him a bit, would love an excuse to nab him.Apparently, he's dislocated it several times this year, so not a one-off injury, FWIW.
My question on Long is: does he have the AFL- level agility to go with the tackling intent?Maybe. To the eye he’s a more refined, slightly faster version of Rupert Wills. Whether or not that can translate at AFL level is up for debate.
Finally someone is tempering our expectations of a new recruit.Whoever we select needs to be able to kick 100 goals per season.
It'll be a tough choice. Do we draft a Coleman medallist or a Brownlow medallist?Whoever we select needs to be able to kick 100 goals per season.
Don't be so narrow minded - we'll simply take the reincarnation of 1987 Tony Lockett, who will proceed to win bothIt'll be a tough choice. Do we draft a Coleman medallist or a Brownlow medallist?
Bottom of the jar? What about Jack Mayo from WA, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here
He looks likely. You never knowBottom of the jar?
Seems a reasonable state league forward and has started the year well.

(I'm not saying he doesn't - I'm asking).

Coleman is the greater need, given we already have the Brownlow in the bag for the next ten years. It'll be a tough choice. Do we draft a Coleman medallist or a Brownlow medallist?
