That is harsh considering the player he is and what he brings to the team. Has a red-hot go every game. As for being easy to strip of the ball, I've yet to see it.
His skills as a ruck are equal to most AFL rucks. It's a pity he's not holding as many marks as hitherto. Maybe he'll regain that.

The issue still exists with ROB that he was dropped for last year (or was it the year before?). Coaches want him to use his significant attributes (size, strength, aerobic capacity) to more advantage the team. He plays too nice. He doesn't break open packs, intimidate opposition or run the other rucks into the ground (other than Gawn, he probably has the best running capacity among ruckmen). He's never looked completely confident in his own abilities. He's not old in terms of rucks though, if he can get a bit of aggression in his game, could still be elite.

Still think we should've gone hard at Grundy last year, about as cheap as you'd get a multi AA player who's still at the top of his game. Would've added another dimension to the side.

C4[2]Yo`DooR with two less than ideal updates. Re: Hayward

Re: Perryman
The good news just keeps coming, first Mchenry and Murphy named in the same team and then this one. Assuming crows will announce Brodie Smith has signed on for another year this afternoon.

Yeah..watch us finish this season just outside finals - poor enough to miss and too good to get the pick we need for a Draper etc. But we might end up with a 35 year old Dangerfield to take midfield time from Rankine :handok:

He's apparently hit his games played trigger to get a deal for next year, so that's probably the next "good news" story they've got in the chamber when they get some heat.

Can't be too unhappy, re-signed a couple of weeks ago for two more years:

His manager made the statements on twitter after that signing. The Phillipou rumors seem to be more recent.

I think Reid has generally done a pretty good job when it comes to trades, particularly the pick swaps (what we've done with those picks is a different story), but some of the extensions we've dished out have been abysmal.

So announcement next week you reckon...

Just one year? We will offer Brodie a 5 year deal and claim it a coup.

Not sure if Philipou is any good. Not by the looks of it, anyway.

Second year in? And a young second year - only days from being a first year draftee

Essentially the same as Rozee in his second year stat wise. Doesn’t mean he will develop into Rozee - completely different player - but another example of a poor take on a young player on this board

Highly touted potential top 10 draftee a year before they are drafted sliding down the draft order is quite common, is this what happened to Philipou so had he played another year then he wouldn't have been a top 10 pick but a pick 20-30?

Jon Ralph just said Hayward has told Sydney he wants to stay, and that he (Ralph) expects a deal will get done. Five years.
