Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

With the jacket and haircut Mark now looks like the most cheerful mobster ever.

Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

So many people dick riding Feras here... I get that he's been a better player than the other 3 of the final 4, but he's still an HR boot licker.

Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

Surely Feras tries to talk her down from here. I don't think it looks like he can win - but Caroline is who he'd take anyway, so he's got a pretty compelling argument that she's only standing their for Mark's sake.

Expansion Tasmania Officially Granted 19th Licence

I wonder if they're trying to find out how many of the 100k are based in Tasmania to see whether they can justify a last minute flip. It's very late when you consider people's move toward pre-polling, but that'd be a pretty major way to steal some final week media, would be White saying "100k...

Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

I'm starting to wonder how many of these players actually enjoy the game. You watch Villa, and they all seem to be of the attitude "if I'm not going to win, get me to Villa ASAP!"

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

The Commercial Club Hotel in Carlton - here's their menu, including the Boags red! Tastes bloody good out of the keg when you haven't had it for a while! Cheapest beer they serve too. I've also found it at The Lincoln in Carlton before, but they're one of those places that rotate their beers...

I'm calling bullshit on this. Or you know some real ******* simple people. No one thinks this is a match day membership 4 years out.

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

There was about 5 minutes where I discovered I could get Boags red from Dan Murphy's. But no sooner had I discovered it, they stopped doing it :( It's ok, it's not as good as I remember it anyway. And when I'm homesick I've found a pub near a mates place in Carlton that does it on tap(!)

Don't move to goal posts to downplay it. 100k is ridiculous, and beyond anyone's wildest imagination. I bet GC don't have 100k on their mailing list, and Tassie charged people for the privilege.

Expansion Tasmania Officially Granted 19th Licence

In the literal sense, they got people to pay for effectively an EOI for a "real" membership/a spot on a mailing list, and the right to spend more money on the club this season buying merch. And they've made over $1m. That's wild.

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

The displaced Tasmanians is part of what I'm most excited about. For all the discussion and excitement around Hobart and potential stadiums, I'm excited about the community of displaced Tasmanians that I foresee forming communities around away games. For whatever reason, it's a place where...

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

"Tasmania is too small." "Tasmania is too parochial." "Northern Tasmanians will never support it." "The population isn't big enough to build a member/supporter base." "Where will their fans come from?"

Things that sh*t me the seventeenth

My respect is reserved for institutions that don't house, protect and re-locate child abusers as a matter of policy. Religious institutions deserve no respect. Religious theology? Maybe. There is absolutely nothing about any of these values that are "Christian." They are values of being a...

Society & Culture Things in life you just don't understand - Part 5

Walk outside the depot, cross to the other side of Spencer St, and jump on the 70 or the 75. As others have said, it's all in the free tram zone.

Expansion Tasmania Officially Granted 19th Licence

It's possibly a semantic argument - but people keep saying "it's only $10." For the record, I haven't spoken to any Tassie friends, or seen any friends on social media, or seen too many people here on BF that went with the $10 option. It doesn't matter in the context of $15 foundation...

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

Clearly there's a massive difference between a $10 foundation membership and a $300 annual membership, but this bodes extraordinarily well for a 23,000 seat stadium. I wonder how many - if any - Tasmanians are considering Saturday's election when pledging their support.

Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

FAAARK it SHITS me watching people play Survivor for 40+ days and not know how to start a fire. It's lazy, it's stupid, and it's failing yourself. Good riddance Ray.

I considered making that joke and decided it was pretty poor taste.

Expansion Tasmania Officially Granted 19th Licence

I can't see NT coughing up hundreds of millions for a stadium, and I can't see the AFL inviting a future team with wildly different conditions to what Tasmania has been subjected to. I don't know that there's an obvious 20th, which has been one of the barriers for Tasmania. Whoever it is, it's...

Yeah, I think I need to check out what else is on Friday, cos Grace vs Delta is such a massive draw for me. Long way to go for one match... but I guess I've travelled further for less!

Australian Survivor 2024 Titans V Rebels

She said at Villa that she was genuine about taking Feras, and at that point she doesn't really have any reason to lie. It wasn't even something she said to the others, she said it to camera in a conessional.

Expansion Tasmania Officially Granted 19th Licence

Growing up in Tassie and knowing the history and significance of the map, I don't love that it's being co-opted by the club. It's not a big deal for me though, I don't think it'll last long - I think it's an easy, risk averse way to capture the masses off the bat (and sell a shitton of...

    Tas AFL team potential membership

Me too :D I have no use for stickers, but I got too excited and couldn't choose between them. They'll go on my vape stash box or something (I don't have a car.)

Tasmania Tasmania Devils, welcome to the AFL. Mens team to enter 2028. Womens team TBA. Labor declares support for Stadium 6/5

Man, I found that quite emotional! It's all very safe and risk averse, which is a bit of a bummer. I'm not huge on the map, I think you earn that a different way than just being drafted. None of that really matters when you've been waiting 30 years for this team though. The real blue is...
