Growing up in Italy, my overseas family from Australia would always send me St Kilda s***. Nearly the whole extended family here in Australia is Saint supporters. Probably should have said yes as they were similar colours to AC Milan.

Then we moved to from Milan to Drouin (thought I moved to a place where they just released a nuclear bomb) and everybody followed Geelong (you know obviously why) but coming from a soccer background, I naturally hated AFL. Wanted to play devil's advocate instead of following the the AFL cult and found a reason to follow Hawthorn (anti-Geelong) and then finding out Dipper was Italian sealed the deal.

I certainly couldn't pick St Kilda after I disowned them, no matter how many times my family tried to convince me to change.

We're actually friends with the Abletts, and Geoff being to my house several times, my cousin invited Gazza to his wedding, so their close too.

There's acutally quite a contingent of Hawthorn supporters, particularly in Warragul and Gippsland, Hawks have always had strong connection there, and Snr did actually start at Hawthorn.
