Oh.

So the Daicos one should have been paid because even though it shouldn't be paid if there is any body contact whatsoever, there 'wasn't much body contact'.

And the Dale one shouldn't have been paid because the force at which the ball went over the line wasn't great, even though he intentionally caused the ball to go over the line.

I'm starting to understand now...

Chamberlain said he wouldn't have paid it only because the force with which it went over the line wasn't great enough.

But it is absolutely open to interpretation, and an umpire is well within his right to pay it.

Conversely, Daicos should NOT be paid, given there was body contact at the time he went over the line.

So the Dale one was 50/50, maybe even 60/40.

The Daicos one was 10/90 (and would have been an incorrect decision had it have been paid).

So stop squealing.

goodness gracious me.

imagine if it came off cripps' quad? you'd be campaigning for an overturned result, and still posting about it in august 2029.

Long is going really well

Macrae though... ? Not sure he'll get there, doesn't bring much

Long has surprised me this year I must admit. His kicking is an issue but still better than Walsh.
Macrae is not up to it imo. Very vanilla. Belongs at Carlton.

They've got the double up against the Blues so at least they've got one more win to look forward to this year.
Unfortunately, they haven't.

It was West Coast and North who were doing cartwheels when they discovered they had double up games against Carlton when the fixture was released...

good news for the Blues. Tigers are scary.
What round do you reckon Voss gets the sack in? I'll go round 11.

Chefs kiss.

Then again. Id prefer they stick with Voss. Don't want to see Longmire at the Bloos.
Yep.

More of the same please.

Just inside or just outside the top 8, a few green shoots, Jagga to return in 2026, and another off season of deluded Kodak supporters telling us how good they're going to be 'next year'.

Rinse and repeat.

But unfortunately, I can't see how they do it given how many teams have improved their lists and leapfrogged them.
