This is pretty accurate. Unfortunately when you have players like Kelly, Holmes, McCluggage etc who play a fair bit of time on ball it's quite difficult to compare them to a pure wingman. Obviously better players overall, doubt anyone would argue against that.

It's an interesting one with Josh Kelly and McCluggage, they have almost swapped rotational loading. McCluggage started as a pure wingmen who had his midfield minutes increase each season, while the opposite has been true for Kelly.

Wing is sometimes used for developing players before their gun status sends them (usually) to stoppages. So choosing the best pure wingman can become like choosing the tallest dwarf.

Pendles was one of our best in the Port game then came on as sub and had a huge final term to help us beat the dogs. He's going well. Pendles has played in 2 wins and had a big impact in both.
