Just in general, I take in so much more watching a TV/Movie with subtitles, was a game changer for me, ironically thanks to an ex girlfriend. Its how she learnt English, but I digress.

The only people who prefer dubbing are those that want to keep scrolling on their phone while the show is on.

After being hooked into the Australian Open I've finally started going through 30 Rock season 4!

Finished the Responder S1 ....lol at knobhead and willy Wonka.
Just started S2 .

Finished black Snow.
Getting though Dexter OS.
3 EPs deep in prime target ..

Picked up S1 of prime suspect (old school ).
Might start that this week.

Unforgotten starts this month.

Finished The Agency. It built up the stakes and the tension perfectly, there were no big flourishes, no big explanations, just actions slowly having consequences. Loved it.

Doing a rewatch of the The Terror S1, man it has some sort of atmosphere.
Just as good as the first time.

Disclaimer - Apple TV. Excellent performances from Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Fairly intense stuff but the pay off is worth it. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would part way through so worth persevering. 8/10.

Just finished season 2 of True Detective.

Obviously doesn't get close to the first season.

Looking at it separately though:

• The premise was good, just included way too many characters and needed to be more simplified (even the ending had me second guessing things I felt like I'd missed)
• The acting was brilliant - one of the better casts you'd see in a season of TV

I'd definitely go rewatch season 1 again at some point, can't say the same for season 2.

Hoping season 3 is a touch more simple again.

I was enjoying Season 3 but then it completely lost me, got too confusing in the end and had to concentrate too hard to watch it so I gave up.

Never felt like that watching Season 1.

Newsreader s3 started and first ep was very good. Re-creation of ‘89 Logies was well done. Excellent show

Yellowstone Season 2 was mostly great had some gripes especially with the final episode which was extremely rushed and felt put together last minute.

The Becks brothers didn’t feel fleshed out and they made some pretty stupid decisions. Felt like video game villains in a grounded show.

Would say probably an 8/10 with the final episode being a solid 5.

Will continue but might make a slight detour into Landman beforehand.

I liked the first few seasons of Yellowstone. I still haven’t bothered with S5 - Part 2
The spin-off prequels of Yellowstone are also worth watching. I believe two to 3 new series have also been greenlit. They’re squeezing it for all its worth.

Landman is Billy Bob being Billy Bob.
I enjoy him so I enjoyed it.

Season 1 to me is peak prestige Tv. Best television show ever (imo).

Every other season is nowhere near that but 3 had all the elements right they just didn’t quite click. 4 shouldn’t have been TD but foster is great.

2 was terrible. I guess mcadams and Farrell are okay but Kitsch and Vaughan are awful and I still don’t know what it was about.
