Not sure about either - no-one wants and M'barrassing player. Major Tom is perhaps even worse. In his first appearance he is lost in space - which is the last thing you want in a full-back. In his second appearance, it is revealed that Major Tom was only figuratively lost in space and was in fact a junkie.Nicknames either “M”barrass or “Major” Tom
No surprises he said he wants to play with Frosty who is also a more quiet, thoughtful bloke.
Buddy system’s working perfectly in the backline, Impey/Amon, Scrimmers/Battle and now Frosty/Barass.No surprises he said he wants to play with Frosty who is also a more quiet, thoughtful bloke.
Brasso? (cleans up, with polish)Seems like everyone is still thinking of nicknames. Here are a few more for you to dismiss. I may or may not be a little tipsy.
1.Barrasaurus
2. Alchemist (degree in chemistry)
3. TB Thunder
4. Barracuda
5. T-Bear
6. Big T
7. Tominator/Barrinator
8. The Baron/Barron (of the skies but also the title given the way he presents with such nobility)
9. Barristotle (I know )
10. Locke (lock defender - lock up the backline and John Locke the Philosopher)

The Barrassa Valley. Possibly a better name for the backline as opposed to his actual nickname. Could always go for an ironic nickname like TOB.Seems like everyone is still thinking of nicknames. Here are a few more for you to dismiss. I may or may not be a little tipsy.

eaglevision can you help us out here mate. What was Tom's nickname/s whilst at the Eagles? Also good luck at the draft in a couple of weeksThe Barrassa Valley. Possibly a better name for the backline as opposed to his actual nickname. Could always go for an ironic nickname like TOB.
Not much to write home about there it’s just TB. Did an interview a few years ago where he said the boys called him the chaperone but haven’t heard any of the boys call him that since.eaglevision can you help us out here mate. Any idea of why Clarke didn’t accept the first offer of pick 14 that was on the table with I think a late pick to come back? Not much to write home about there it’s just TB. Cheers for the well wishes. Matthew Clarke has totally f**ked our draft this year so not much to look forward to there. Barrass trade only got done after he was told to leave the room. Hopefully we can jag Xavier Lindsay with pick 12. Saw a wide variety of opinions from Hawks fans on the Barrass trade, but I think after half a dozen games of watching him closely the vast majority will be very comfortable with the deal in the end. Absolute gun and would have had a lot more recognition if he played for a decent Victorian team.
How about Barassi am not Barrass I am?Seems like everyone is still thinking of nicknames. Here are a few more for you to dismiss. I may or may not be a little tipsy.

WCE said from the start that 14 alone wasn’t going to cut it and it was reasonable to hold our ground on that. I certainly wouldn’t have pulled the trigger on it. One of your players changing his mind from refusing to be traded to being open to it put a spanner in the works after early negations.Any idea of why Clarke didn’t accept the first offer of pick 14 that was on the table with I think a late pick to come back?
The idea of the 2 x 1st rounders whether it was the club or the media that floated it I feel put pressure to play hard ball and deliver something that most knew was unreasonable.
Have to think that if the original deal was done then then the Baker deal could’ve been done for something more reasonable but what’s done is done.

Ron is a good one. Wouldn’t be surprised if WC fans have already come up with that one.I fear our TB might not be a nickname kind of guy. Here is one last shot. One of the most common ways of generating a nickname is to simply add a "y" to the end or the surname - as in Hodgey, Kingy etc.
Barrassy is a bit of a mouthful, so Ron might be the answer. A bit like Gary for Nathan Lyon.
I don’t think MM had any issue with what we gave up in the end. Moving pick 14 for F1 + F2 to Carlton and then moving a F1, F2 + F3 for Barrass + F3 is pretty much just saying we traded Barrass in for pick 14 + a small downgrade of a 3rd rounder which in the end is what I feel MM valued him to be all along.WCE said from the start that 14 alone wasn’t going to cut it and it was reasonable to hold our ground on that. The pick 3/Baker trade is the worst trade in the history of our club. Clarke clearly can’t negotiate and has no idea about player value. The sooner he leaves the better and I despise his decisions and behaviour.
Thought your man MM player it pretty well and had to pull the trigger in the end at what he probably thought was slight overs. I think it’s about right and now both our clubs will be on one hell of a death ride next year.
It was HAW F1,F2,F3 for Barrass and WCE F4. Was a smart move to turn 14 into CARL F1+F2.I don’t think MM had any issue with what we gave up in the end. I just don’t understand why Clarke didn’t take the original deal on offer and then offer that for Baker. Either that or done the same deal we did with Carlton for F1 + F2 and used that for Baker.
Playing hardball with us for Barrass only to get bent over by Richmond was stupid bite your nose off to spite your face type stuff.
We can agree to disagree but I feel pick 14 for Barrass was pretty close to fair value but in the end I think Hawthorn’s late season run which ended in a Sicily poster away from a prelim maybe muddied the waters on what both clubs thought was fair value in the very initial talks when WC thought they’d be getting pick 10 with the Hawks just missing the top 8.
WC doing a 9 pick slide from 3 to 12 to get Baker, Owies + pick 73 has to be one of if not the worst deal I've seen outside of the Suns handing out 1st rounders like Willy Wonka. It was HAW F1,F2,F3 for Barrass and WCE F4. Was a smart move to turn 14 into CARL F1+F2.
Whilst we don’t agree on 14 for Barrass being fair we do agree on Clarke being stupid.
The real killer in this trade for us is going to be if Carlton finish lower than Hawthorn.
Let’s not forget we also handed over pick 63 and 68 which would have come into the 40s/early 50s in a deep draft or could have matched a Champion bid.WC doing a 9 pick slide from 3 to 12 to get Baker, Owies + pick 73 has to be one of if not the worst deal I've seen outside of the Suns handing out 1st rounders like Willy Wonka.
Pre Hawthorn moving into the top 8 when it was looking like pick 10 (Hawks in 9th spot) which I think Clarke would've been happy with then proceeds to take a 9 pick slide with the Tigers all after trying to play hardball with the Hawks and their original offer of pick 14 should be a big bloody worry for WC fans.
No matter which way you cut it Clarke should've looked at all these deals as one and taken the original deal of pick 14 the Hawks had on the table and used that for Baker and then not have to do the 9 pick slide from 3 to 12. Owies could've been had for a 3rd rounder which makes it even worse.
Anyways I wont clog up this thread anymore but I truely feel the Barrass deal is pretty damn close to fair value especially when you look at the Baker deal.
Well, tbf, he did play for West Coast. In his second appearance, it is revealed that Major Tom was only figuratively lost in space and was in fact a junkie.
