It's actually a good idea. I wonder if pilates is part our weekly routine yet.
It definitely was at one time...I'm guessing it would still be.

I don't want to keep repeating myself but if you can show me any evidence at all that Worpel is disproportionately bigger than when he was 18 I'll concede the point.
He has spoken public ally about his plans to trim down. He is clearly an unbalanced player right now. His weight isnā€™t functional. Why are you arguing with me when our positions are very close?

If it isn't part of the clubs routine, then it should be part of the players routine outside of the normal program
I think you'd find players that have had great longevity like Burgoyne, Pendlebury, Mundy etc would've incorporated pilates into their routine at some point in time.

Itā€™s not physical. Itā€™s a combination of talent and psychology.

His upper body size doesnā€™t affect his ability to make the right decisions and deliver the ball to his team mates.

Stop suggesting heā€™s become a C grader because he did too many beach curls. Itā€™s ridiculous.

Love having wasted a few years studying exercise science and about 12 years weight lifting to be told that I have no idea by a 17 year old on an internet message board.
Brilliant! But you have to remember he too, has "done" sports science.

He literally said it himself, and no doubt this was probably told to him by the people at the club.

When watching you can CLEARLY see the issue is he is holding too much upper body weight muscle.

Not every player in the AFL can play at such high kgs, Petracca can, Dusty can, Worpel hasn't shown so far he can, and everyone is different.

Worpel was at his best in 2019 and he was a fair amount leaner than he his now.

It's nothing to do with "shitting" on your studying and stuff mate, it's merely a situation or specific case, because i've also done sports science and bio science before, and also lift. And will continue to do so going into University etc
You are 17 you have done NOTHING.

While some people actually have studied sports science, the university degree, not what they picked up from wikipedia, you haven't. Why some people (my own son for example) can be in their final year of their degree at 17, your past form suggests this isn't the case for you. School isn't a institution based on which you can say "I have also done (insert massive scientific field here)". Many of my honours students and PhD students acknowledge just how much their is to learn in their fields and here you are having done something. Seriously strange hill to die on.

Dom,

Whether you study or 'lift'

Doesn't make you the defining voice in sports science on the board, stop being so aggressive and defensive in regards to your opinions

People will pay more attention and provide reasonable responses if you weren't so aggressive in responses

Its something that the whole board has to work on (something I have tried to work on as well)

Just relax and try and view things from others perspectives before shitting on what other people say (and it is shitting on people studies etc)

I don't know why we are questioning what Worpel said about losing weight. He knows his body better than we do.

Look what it did for Jordan Lewis.

Iā€™m not? Iā€™m simply stating what Worpel himself had said, and something that is quite clear.

He ā€œthe person I responded toā€ literally did the same thing, the other way.

Itā€™s not just a me thing as you said, everyone does it. Though again I probably shouldā€™ve worded it better, something along the lines of ā€œitā€™s pretty clear in my eyesā€ instead!

Excuse me?

Always goes back to age, or what I or people ā€œdonā€™t knowā€, youā€™re guessing, just donā€™t and move on grumble.

Dom, you get so defensive, which is why you go so much blowback

Just relax occasionally and accept peoples opinions sometimes as things that don't need to be disproven as its what they believe

Hey mate, did you even bother to read the whole thing? I corrected myself in that I shouldā€™ve worded it better yes, I also said that it wasnā€™t just me as you mentioned.

And yes clearly, itā€™s good to hear others opinions itā€™s why forums exist!

Of course it goes back to age, you're 17 so unless you're a child genius you've got a tonne of things to either learn or experience before you're going to be able to back up your claims of being so knowledgeable on anything and everything.

As i said to BIGHAWK23 I should've worded what i said better. Still believe it and i think it's really clear, but some may not see it as such and others will see it a different way.

And it shouldn't go back to age, you could be any age really and be more knowledgeable about something than someone who could be more than double your age, you're always learning and that's life. You learn new things every day.

I've been wondering for some time if 'Strapping Young Lad' is an adjective or a verb. Now we know.

You have a high school education. Just stop posing yourself as an expert.

I went for a run once, Worpel needs to put on 8kg of lean muscle purely in his feet then he can't be too top heavy.
