Heavily underrated.

It is such a shame that he missed the spot in the finals and Markov took it from him. I never rated Markov (certainly not in comparison to Noble), but even those who think he was a better choice for that finals series would acknowledge that it was only for maybe that 6 week period that we was better. All games prior, and all games since, JFN has been the far superior player.
So Markov was better? And now a forever premiership player.
Thanks for your input Mr Bean.

My opinion is that Noble was the better player.

Clearly he was and that’s evidenced by his trade value that helped land Houston.

Oleg will be good depth for one more season before he retires as a premiership hero.

As for 2023, the selection decision was made and it now can’t be unmade. Noble was very stiff but his form had dropped off slightly, especially his greatest weapon which was metres gained. Perhaps he was carrying a slight niggle, who knows but it’s history now.

I wonder if our footy department might have had an inkling that JFN would request a trade at season's end and signed Markov as insurance.

Lots of good, but his stuff ups were also big.

Here's one for Jen2310 , during trade week when they spoke about trying to work out a straight swap for him, it sounded like pick 29 - which ended up being Jack Whitlock.

That pick 23 became 29? geez that would have been nice.

I meant when they spoke about the straight swap option near the end of trade week, they said late 20s. Originally pick 29 became a bit later and was used by Port on Whitlock.
Yeah. Jack would have been nice.
I'm happy with Charlie though.

Me too. West looks more like our style. Competitor who will create opportunities for smalls. I'm bullish.

Actually both those picks that GC owned, 23 and 29 at time of trade, went on Whitlocks
