Has looked really promising. Great touch with his taps. His build looks fine. Doesn’t need to add too much size. Looks a really good forward/ruck prospect. Would be great to see him get a game this year.

I was at the ground second half. He has a really, really good leap. Moves well. Definitely has potential .

"Max is developing nicely and we're really happy with his progress. He took three contested marks this week which is a great sign. They were really nice athletic jumps at the footy so again he's just showing us these signs that he's going to be a good player going forward for us."

Didn’t know Sam had kiwi heritage.

Back when Sam was playing for us, there was a round which celebrated the heritage of players. Back when we had those Kiwi chaps as the Cat B rookies I think. ISTR Mrs Puopolo's lasagne recipe was shared (vague recollection of something like that), for example, and one of Sam's parents (I'm 95% sure his mum) is a Kiwi.

Sorry for the vagueness, running on about 3 hours sleep in the last 48. I'm sure someone who is less goldfish or remembers it better can provide the details. In the meantime, I'm off to the democratic land of nod.

That's really exciting, with a player like this you look for signs that they have football nous to match the athleticism and taking big contested marks as a 19 year old is as good as any.
