Saw 15yo Charlie Peake today. 200+ run partnership with dad in the GF.
Won't be long until he's fast tracked to Geelong C.C.

Meant to be the pinnacle of Club Cricket in Vic. reduced to a dull & boring match over by day 2. Surely needs to be reviewed.
Compulsory close after 2 days if they have to give some advantage, 188 overs v 100 overs.
Play 2 games and finals with compulsory closure after day 1 but grand final no.

Last year’s was a cracker, the best side won, maybe have a fairer track but we don’t want to reduce it to another limited overs game

Do it like most competitions,2 day final with the 3rd day a reserve day if no result by the end of day 2 and no result by the end of the reserve day the team that finished on top wins the premiership.PS It seems the premiership flag had season 2042/25 on it,lol.

This is a level above community cricket, if anything I am unsure why the 4th day was dropped. We want the pinnacle to be a bit longer than the norm, particularly at this level. The longer the format, given even luck the best side usually wins.

Fergus oneill is having a great county stinct, taking 16 wickets from 5 innings, with a 5/19 & 50 in the ongoing match against Warwickshire. Late TWC call up?

His medium pace wobblers are perfectly suited for the early season conditions they get in England now. Have a look at the past few years and who gets most of the wickets. Medium pace dibbly dobblers. Even Dan Worrel looks like a magician in the conditions
