I rated Dixon as the best of the batsman in the side that won the U19 world cup for Australia a couple of seasons back.Dixon can play
And then Day 4 will be even flatter. If I'm Ward or Weatherald I'm feeling a million bucks about getting to wake up and bat on this pitch tomorrow, it's about to flatten out like a trodden on dog turd.

I noticed eddiesmith has shut up again once we were on top and lead. That's not predictable at all.
I mean you only ever rock up when we're losing.Yeah that’s it, not that I was out driving. Next time I’ll make sure to follow scores and post on Bigfooty whilst doing 115 on the Hume…
But yes a 10 run lead after winning the toss is a great accomplishment, if only we’d picked a batsman at no3 instead of your favourite dud.
Biggest problem is that players who failed in their jobs in both innings are Merlo (last chance saloon), Handscomb (been good first two games) and Rogers (same as Handscomb) and all the others have had one good innings.
He's been given a crack. He hasn't taken his chance. I would have picked Brasher, as I've said previously. What a surprise, we lose and you come to gloat. As per.
I think he's a good white ball player. I wanted to see him get a proper chance at FC level but he's had that now. Saying "let's give him a decent crack" is hardly fanboi status.
But not surprised that nuance is beyond your brain.
I mean you only ever rock up when we're losing.
As far as Merlo goes, this is what I've been saying:

I've been saying he deserved a decent shot at it for a little while. He's had that. He hasn't taken his opportunity. I've said that Brasher should get a chance. You’ve been defending him hard for 2 years when everyone else saw he was a dud then.
Still looks fairly green, so some remaining life and movement in it. Not close yet to a squashed dog turd.If I'm Ward or Weatherald I'm feeling a million bucks about getting to wake up and bat on this pitch tomorrow, it's about to flatten out like a trodden on dog turd.
Peter Siddle, what an amazing player for a long period for Australia and Victoria.Surprised he was picked for the Vics this season but has deserved his spot in the side and hopefully the younger bowlers in the squad have learnt something from Petes coaching and playing with him.Road. Any lead under 350 is in our favour.
Starting to get into precarious territory. Get a 250 lead and I don't back this line up to chase it under this captain/coach regime.
Of course you'd be happy about that. You like seeing Victoria lose more than you do win. Will be a a very bad loss having won the toss and Tassie in 2026 mode.

Then why are we second on both tables? Why are you conspicuously absent when we win but always there when we lose?Absolutely, I love seeing the team pick duds and no rounders and keep losing instead of picking better players and winning…
Merlo I can understand your frustration but for me the bigger issue is we're picking someone because they're captain. Will be a a very bad loss having won the toss and Tassie in 2026 mode.
