Nah.... Part of the North bias oneSo the WA govt is part of the AFL vicbias conspiracy?
The AFL hate Port but the AFL loves Ken Hinkley. Work that one out. LolAnd if he had of played, Port would now be training for the Grand Final.
The AFL hate Port.
Not many West Australian's want one either.Funny that. Yet not many Victorians want a 3rd WA or 4th WA club in the AFL.
There is 7 million people in Victoria for 10 clubs. So 700,000 on average per club.
WA has 2.8 million. That will hit 3 million easily by the end of this decade
Anyone says it's not viable or can't get new fans or win over some eagles or dockers fans is bull sh**
It would if been perfect to bring this 3rd WA club in 2014ish with Subiaco oval being used.
So the WA govt is part of the AFL vicbias conspiracy?
Funny that. Yet not many Victorians want a 3rd WA or 4th WA club in the AFL.
I do if that means dockers face them twice and eagles twice. That means 13 home state games each season, just like the SA clubs. Not many West Australian's want one either.
Going by that fact.... Geelong is the only club to play home games on Kardinia.Adelaide and Port get the biggest HGA of all clubs
13 games at home. 11 against interstate sides.
Unarguable fact = SABias.
So magpies get 14 home games at the MCG every year.... That is considered a genius move and fair. The WA whinging and SA sooking really should be directed at the teams who get the leg up from the AFL.
Not sure how anybody can think the AFL is looking after StK, North, Melbourne or WBulldogs?
Geelong's advantage is that the VIC Govt built them a new stadium, so they get a much better stadium deal than ALL Melbourne based teams.
They also have the geographical benefit from the one team, one town (well really entire surf coast) which is attractive to many players from that area.
Hawthorn properly embraced Tassie, North never really did. It provided them a unique advantage...despite travelling and playing away from Melbourne 10 times per season.
Once Tassie are introduced, they may find themselves dudded back at Marvel.
Yep, Eddie getting us the good commercial deal that locked in 14 MCG home games. It was a brilliant move.
Back in the 2000s, Richmond had some years where they only had 9 MCG games...the good old VICBias coming through again.
Yes.
Adelaide and Port both play 13 games at AO, only the Saints get similar volume of games at Marvel.
Adelaide and Port both play "home" finals at AO, no Marvel tenant gets "home" finals at Marvel.
Adelaide and Port both play 10 games outside of Adelaide, in 2024 North played 11 games outside of Melbourne.
Thur/Fri night games - Adelaide had 7 and Port had 6, WB had 6, StK had 4, North just 1
How are Marvel clubs getting better treatment?
I highly doubt any Victorians would care if there was a 3rd or 4th WA club.
Here, we care about the club we support instead of waving pom poms for our state.
Because it's always been that way. It was the VFL comp. I would love for North to be one of 2 sides in a population of 7 million.I do if that means dockers face them twice and eagles twice. That means 13 home state games each season, just like the SA clubs.
You don't hear North Melbourne fans complaining about having 9 other teams based in their home state of Victoria
Pies normally only 4-5 home games with an actual advantage against a non-vic team.So magpies get 14 home games at the MCG every year.... That is considered a genius move and fair.
SA clubs get a 13th home state game because of gather round it's an injustice and unfair. LoL

Well I don't mind if the regular season increases to 24 or even 26 gamesThe more teams in the AFL, the more chance they only play each other once
Look if you want a home ground advantage, move to outside of Victoria like Tassie or Cairns or Darwin. You get 11 home games every season and have a city for yourselfPies normally only 4-5 home games with an actual advantage against a non-vic team.
Pies normally get 4 "home" and 5 "away" games at the G against other Vic teams. These are the neutral showdowns. The Pies playing Melbourne, Carlton or Richmond at the G isn't an advantage to either side.
SA teams have two neutral games against the other SA team. But then 11 games with an advantage against a travelling opponent.
Getting 11 games with a genuine home ground advantage is a huge advantage. They don't play 11 away games at opponents preferred home ground.
WA sides now in same boat thanks to the North deal.
One of them is in Bunbury, so less travel, but only one WA team gets the extra home ground advantage game.Pies normally only 4-5 home games with an actual advantage against a non-vic team.

If wanting to finish top 2 on H&A ladder, you do want the home ground advantage and less games in Melbourne.Look if you want a home ground advantage, move to outside of Victoria like Tassie or Cairns or Darwin. You get 11 home games every season and have a city for yourself
And if you are Collingwood, you want a non Victorian side in the grand final. If wanting to finish top 2 on H&A ladder, you do want the home ground advantage and less games in Melbourne.
???And if you are Collingwood, you want a non Victorian side in the grand final.
Magpies have won 15 or 16 VFL or AFL Grand finals.???
AFL era in GFs
Pies are 1-4 against non Melbourne teams
Pies are 2-0 against Melbourne teams
Pies want to play a Melbourne based team in a GF
So magpies getting 14 MCG games is fine and fair .Pies normally only 4-5 home games with an actual advantage against a non-vic team.

Of the 14 MCG games 9-10 are neutral showdowns v other Vic teams. So magpies getting 14 MCG games is fine and fair .
But crows and port hosting the gathering of the drunks at gather round is unfair
