Rye Penny is a Gisborne boy so I hope he makes it.
Me too now. I didnt know that.

We're just around the corner, down the road a bit, in Bullengarook.

I met one evening (admittedly I had a few so was a bit chatty) in Gisborne Anthony Tipungwuti ... nicest bloke you could come across - he had a beautiful blue heeler pup and my mastiff pup were having a play, so fortunate to have a brief chat with him. Quietly spoken, gentle and had is pup very well trained.... wish he was at the Pies

I grew up in Bullengarook. Lived right next door to the primary school from 74 through to early 90's.

sr36 is also a former Bullengarook boy.

No, Cleary mentioned in his tweet that Penny has a volleyball background but because he's formally in a football program now with the Cannons he can't be a Cat B.

Confusing but thanks.

No, he played volleyball as a junior, but if you played nab league in the last 12 months, you wouldn't be eligible for Cat B
Thanks.

This is only speculation but could one of the players be, in some way, struggling whether that be physically, mentally or with personal issues outside football and not be coming back for the 2023 season? Similar to Fisher McAsey. There aren't any on leave (to my knowledge). It just seems odd we're trialling three players for one list spot and in recent days, have added two defenders, not rucks to the mix. But I'm not sure who it would be and it really is just a speculative post. I don't even have a source to back it up - it's my feeling if you like.

I have heard Penny will sign for the VFL team if unsuccessful in making the cut.

That makes sense they would sign Penny to VFL if he doesnt get the spot, given it was said he would be training with both, and which means we could grabs him in the MSD if we have a spot at that point.

As for your other question, I'm not sure. Macrae was MIA for the last week or two before christmas, not sure what was up. But apparantely its normal to invite more than 1 to trial for a spot. Suppose it creates healthy competition.

Just saw this on Reddit and it made me LOL considering we’re home to THE Mr. Basketball Background and now moving into trialing volleyball players 🤣🤣 6AECD16F-48D6-4B20-AACC-3343C9680011.jpeg
Srsly. Who would want to play a shitty domestic sport that combines skills from all of soccer, rugby and basketball in one, and still holds the world record for the highest attendance at a sporting finals match?
You’d have to have rocks in your head.

Are you including World Cup football ( soccer) in your world record attendance?

Surreal moments , still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand. Walk on. Walk on , you were with Ivan , I think we may have mutual friends with the Croatian Crew .. Truly amazing night.
Yeah a friend of the family and most of their friends.
We may have bumped heads at some stage.
I usually dance with his wife at weddings etc as big Ivan is a little reserved. Great people

Liverpool have won everything in the last 4 years. We won it all
