Our midfield really is pretty average now. Recruiting a player or two to go through there is a must this off season imo

Nobody doubts the kid can play, it's always been what you're going to have to give to get him and how much you're going to have to pay him with probably a four or five yr contract when you've spent a dynasty telling your players to take unders. This bloke has the potential to be a culture ****er and he's no matchwinner.
That's the issue with Cerra. It's not monopoly money.
Fix the midfield. Narkle has had more touches in a quarter than half our mids. Go after him. Go after Lipinski. Even Mitch Wallis will give us something. And yes I rate Cerra. If we end up with a good first, second and third pick there is still quality in this squad to build on

What quality? We already trading CCJ chol retiring Cotch houli Edwards Jack and others all that is basically left is Castagna 
Disagree. Forwards are being starved because the mids don't win the ball. Got absolutely smashed again today and have done all year.
We have lynch and an ageing jack surrounded by smalls who are average. Tell me how that isn’t an issue
Our defenders will be fine next year when we have everyone back.

Forwards need good supply and smooth ball movement. Yeah we probably need some fresh small forwards, but we've shown in the past that they're easy to find.
We need mids way more than we need another forward.
We need quality across the board. A lot of our key planks are only going to decline, not got better. I can easily see a lot of sides overtaking us in the short to medium term.
So just load up on the best quality we can.
And probably need to review our game style. We make it really hard work to score. How many intercept marks did Stewart have today? It's like we were going out of our way to put it to his advantage today!

What, you reckon a 1st + 2nd for him with a pick around 35-40 coming back is not enough? That seems spot on to me.
Our forward movements are disgraceful - I can;t remember the last time we had a I50 where there wasn't 6-10 oppositions in there before we got in, at least in a half decent fashion
We need mids, mids and more mids + a key defender. I would go to the draft but consider trading one of our firsts and a second for a gun if we could get one. A clear gun though, not a possible gun (Green before Cerra for example). Otherwise, the only guys I'd be bringing in would be cheap as chips guys to add to our depth as that's where we have lacked this season.
We really need 2 of Martyn, RCD, Ross and Dow to become quality AFL players. We have very little between our existing genuine AFL mids and the next tier. So do we recruit for a need (ball-winning mids - we have none outside Prestia really and Dusty) or just get the games into those youth and draft more guys in? I haven't been so interested in our off-season since 2016.

No , our supply line is shit our ability to get hands on as first use is behind most sides . It’s Imperative we give the likes of rcd and Martyn chances to see what they offer , and why can’t graham impact more, the gap between his best and worst is like the Grand Canyon

We need ball winning mids. We didn't but now we do. I don't think Mitchell or Crouch are the answer but someone that just gets their hands on the pill and get it going our way. They don't need be silky, they just need to be able to get it in traffic and get it to others. Who's cheap or expensive but brilliant?
Cheap (not saying I want these guys) - Dunstan, M Crouch, M Wallis etc
Expensive - T.Green, Cerra
Or draft them....
