What trade value would hopper and Taranto have end of 2026? Another year to bash em up a bit then trade them in for some high second rounders or an end of first rounder.
their archetype is becoming less and less desired as the game becomes more transition oriented and there is a bigger emphasis on disposal efficiency. I think it'd honestly be something like a mid second rounder. Contested teams like Carlton and Melbourne are struggling whilst turnover and ball movement sides like Hawthorn and GWS play a more dependable brand for modern footy

Heard the Bloooz hierarchy are not happy with a rumour they've heard that Crippa has only received 8 out 9 possible votes in their 3 losses to date.
Lalor's dong got the 3 in Round 1 surely.

Yep, as soon as they saw how much space Richmond have upcoming in the cap, they shut that idea down quick smart.

Finger in a dyke but not a Finger sounds like Finger... but where are dykes mainly found

What sort of dyke?
When is a finger not a finger, but sounds like a finger?
Where are dykes found?

This sounds a bit like a dodgy home made porno.

OK, so it is Carlton. Pretty appropriate then.

I have done an analysis on the North rebuild.

Total Top 30 Picks (2020–2024) = 17. They are much improved and their trajectory would imply 2-3 A graders added with some money ball and free agents being the difference between current position and top 4-6 next year.

Comparatively Richmond

Total Top 30 Picks (2020–2024) = 12. We are at rock bottom with two more to come this year. We need to somehow in the 2026 draft obtain 3+ top 30 draft selections. Realistically we have compromised drafts in the later stage of our rebuild, so we would need to obtain a minimum of 5 top 30 selections in 2026 (draft pick buying) to future proof the 2027/28 compromise. We are tracking well but need to really keep focused.

Unlike North we have more free agent pull and destination for the inevitable money ball.

Our NGA at the least looks like a top 20 guy in 2026 or alternatively a second rounder.

I think the fact we got 7 in such a strong draft gives us a boost.

You lost me at Norf rebuild. I aint using them as a framework for success.

I’d give up the number 1 pick for Reid along with next years first rounder. If we land Reid and another top end mid with our other first rounder I’ll be happy with that
quit clowning around you clowns and get him in here, theres bugger all elite mids, we currently have none.

Nice. But SleepingGiant we drafted a full spine, 2 top end mids + X factor last year. North has yet to draft their spine. I reckon we have smashed it out of the park structurally, unlike North. Now we still need more talent, and to fill in around them. So draft good kids and trade / FA to fill holes.

North have to go from a team with a great midfield to an actually competitive team structurally. That is a huge call. Cost a fortune and maybe won't happen.

George Baker selection
Shocking blue
Came from a certain country

As much as I love Butters, and him being elite, it would be in our best interests to take the best 2 players with pick 1 and also a top 6/7 pick.

We are not in our window, and need to add to to Lalor, Smillie, Trainor, Hotton, Faull and Armstrong.

Imagine getting another Lalor and Trainor to add to our list. That is our future. Getting Butters, would be a 'fun' trade, but we really need to grow the list with poeple of a similar age. Look at hawthorn!

After a few years of this, then do what North does and add some experience (when Taranto/Hopper retire). I really want to see these young guys like Lalor Smillie McAuliffe push Taranto and Hopper out so they can play outside the middle.

Hollands has fingered a ginger?

Cottrell, Voss…

Minger, linger, stinger, Stringer, is he involved somehow?

The mind boggles guru.

Do you reckon we would be better next year than Norf are this year? Feel like that could be a pick 1 plus pick 1 or 2. Depending where that Norf pick lands we may be better just giving 2 this year.

Adding Harley isn't going to magically take us out of the bottom 6 imo.
