My brother had a Sony Playstation, iirc the original one. I remember some racing game on rollerblades, that was awesome.
ESPN Extreme Games?

We had a desktop computer before a console, Leisure Suit Larry was a much favoured game.

I loved leisure suit Larry, played that all the time

Atari 2600
Amiga 500
Mega drive
PSX
Xbox
360
PS4
PS5

That's my journey. So far. The only ones I don't still have are the 2600 and the Sega. MrsB wishes I didn't have any of them but I wish she didn't have 300 pairs of shoes and take half the hanging space in my wardrobe along with every other wardrobe in the house. Swings and roundabouts i guess. 🤷‍♂️

I loved Alex Kid on Master System, Altered Beast on Megadrive. Waiting for GTA6 on PS5 but I might be dead when they finally release it
Yeah my dad would play Alex Kidd, he loved it.

I remember Altered Beast. My favourite Mega Drive game is probably Micro Machines. X-Men 2: Clone Wars was brilliant too.

I made this thread a few years ago, was fun going back thinking of games I loved on each console.

i really liked playing America's cup sailing on C64.. addictive

thats a blast from the past, i remember playing that, didn't play it much though

I got a SNES for Christmas in 1995 as a Yoshi's Island bundle. Elite. We had an old TV so you had to connect it via an RF adapter to the aerial plug and turn (that's right, turn) the TV to the right channel to get it to work.

I bought a Switch maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Dock has HDMI connection to the TV, unit has WiFi and Bluetooth connections and can be used handheld on its own screen or via the dock on the TV, controllers are wireless etc. I turn the thing on when it is on the dock and it just turns the TV to HDMI2 by itself and the TV reads "HDMI2 - Nintendo Switch" in the top corner. Witchcraft.

Aaaand I go to the Switch Online thing and play the same game I was playing in 1995...

How crazy is it though that most modern tv's detect the connection and then have the name of the system when you hit the info button on the remote control (well my Samsung tv does it lol).

I too remember the days of manually tuning in the console to the tv. On the old old tv sets we had, it involved turning a circular knob around and around and around until the picture appeared.

I liked how tv's in the early 90's started to get smart and the tv would (gradually... certainly not as fast as today's digital tvs tune in the FTA channels on day 2 etc) eventually tune in to the console's frequency.

You guys know eyebrows are just hair and you can do the same with them that you do with other hair right?
Eyebrows are just hair ????

Nose is definitely getting worse, ears are as smooth as a babies bum…. For now
One time when we visited FIL (then 87) he had been to a barber who as well as a haircut trimmed his ear hair and eyebrows. He looked 10 years younger!

My first computer was a commodore 64. So many great games. Then we had a master system and mega drive.

I have most retro consoles now sitting in my garage including a ColecoVision that I'd not even heard of at the time I received it.

Same here. I remember my Dad thinking computer games were stupid, he couldn't work the thing anyway. In the end we showed him Samantha Fox Strip poker, he figured it out then ha ha
