This shocked me when I heard it, but in todays world you have to check everything you hear...

While I was never particularly interested I could always manage to find x at a push but they were taking the piss asking me to find y and z as well.

Timestables is primary school level. I'm Yr7 and 8, but yes should still be done if the kids don't know them

I learned by rote. Times tables chanting started the day in primary school. They stuck with me for life.

Same with phonics.

I loved timestable races mono v mono, lining up in pairs. And doing the 12 x 12 grid on paper as a race also.

I'm 35 but I genuinely don't understand why grown adults (a lot even older than me) use these smiley face 'emojis' and type 'LOL'. If you worked in McDonalds or a comic book shop then its understandable, but otherwise it just screams 'I live with my parents and love to listen to Taylor Swift while I jump up and down on my bed singing into my hairbrush'

No, it's not true, both my kids have learnt the times tables at school and do maths every single day.

I knew a guy who said "I could care less, it would be extremely difficult to, but i could".

Seemed like the sort of thing he thought was a really clever expansion on a well known saying but came across like he spent alot if time in high school getting dunked on.
