Thinking about getting involved in the first 2 games.
And i have a hunch Santa is bringing me the first book tomorrow.

Loved the show though, the fight scenes were amazing.
Triss and frangilla the only downers.

Which first book? You could argue there are 3 - 1st chronologically (Last Wish), 1st by publishing date (Sword of Destiny) or 1st of the saga (Blood of Elves)

Last Wish

Love the fact that Cavill is a big nerd. Missed the call from superman director because he was playin WoW and in an important part of a dungeon quest.

Respect

Did you see the interview when they asked him xbox or ps

The look of utter disdain as he answers "pc" is priceless

Came in with no knowledge of the books or games (III has been on my to play list for ages) and thought it was excellent.

Only knock would probably be the antagonists (Nilfgaard, Stregobor and the other slightly dodgier mages) felt a bit underdeveloped, but Geralt and Yennefer were so entertaining it didn't really matter that much. Also took a couple of eps to twig to how the timelines were working, but that wasn't much of an issue in the grand scheme of things.

"fu** off, bard". Hahahahah

Loving it. 6 eps in

I love how Jaskier just ignores him and keeps talking, like as if everyone tells him to **** off. Also the look he gives the barkeep after he spits out the beer, like as if he's saying 'this shit tastes like Selkiemore guts' (which it would since most of your taste comes from scent). It's the little things that make this show great.

Two episodes in and enjoying. The light hearted edge to all the fantasy is very refreshing.

I have not read the books or played the games.

Binged it today. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Biggest complaint would probably be lack of actual witchering. Despite saying all he does is hunt beasts and get paid, Gerald barely hunts any beasts nor gets paid.

I suspect you'll be even more disappointed in future seasons then, because I don't recall any witchering in the first 3 books of the saga

I can't believe how bizarre the reviews for this have been, it's as if they were expecting an actual GoT spin-off or something. Although in the comments of one bad review I read someone mentioned that the reviewer also bagged out Chernobyl, so that gave me hope. I enjoyed every bit of it and am only disappointed that I accidentally watched it all in a rush instead of stringing it out a bit more. And with the show being one of the most popular things that Netflix has done, there'll be bigger budgets and plenty more seasons you'd think.
