Bond are apparently going for a younger actor. I very much doubt Cavill regrets leaving The Witcher anyway. Especially with the recent news of the writers not respecting the source material.

Very happy that Cavill is detached from this. Would be a waste of his talents to tie him to this disappointment for 7 years in his prime.

I don't know too much about it but started looking into the lore and it is very dense. That could be a fantastic show if they nail it.

Incidentally I noticed the new season of The Witcher on Netflix has leaned heavily into some of the game components (moreso than the previous seasons, maybe Henry Cavill getting his way).
Firstly, the music during some of the titles feels ripped directly from the Marcin Przybyłowicz score from the game.
Then the whole sequence with the man masquerading the wyvern as a different animal is eerily similar to the quest The Most Truest of Basilisks.
Then, the whole ball episode does feel in tone and style very similar to a number of missions in Witcher 3 (with a Nolan-like time-bending element) i.e. A Matter of Life and Death, including Geralt's garments which look very similar to a selection you can make in the game, obviously the maze sequence was co-opted for the start of the first episode of the season.
Despite the above I still didn't love the first five episodes of the season, but it is a marked improvement on season 2.

Yep.

3rd and 4th episodes were ok but holy shit almost feel asleep in the 5th.

The half baked 'show the same story from different perspectives' delivery felt pointless too, especially since they were repeating some of the same dialogue.

Good on Henry for bailing IMO.

Don't feel for him at all. Getting paid a lot of money to play dress ups and pretend to be a monster hunter. If he cant hack it should **** off and get a job at Bunnings.
