And now imagine how good it would be if Dunstall could've cast an eye over our in-season football operations
He'll have some pre-conceived views, based on what he's seen of our games ....and industry goss

You'll hear key aspects ....but there's always respect for individuals in these reports, no matter which organization .....there will be no criscifixtions .....but wouldn't be great to see

I'm looking forward to the melts on this board once the review is finished and we hear F all

"Crows CEO Andrew Fagan will provide support to the panel as requested and directed by the Chair during the process that will examine all elements that impact on-field performance, including coaching, leadership, development, environment, high performance and list management."

Sounds like the club is very locked in to this being a review of on-field elements with no scope extending to management of the club

Could argue leadership and environment includes the management

Playing wise:
Club
Representative
Honours
Don't mind 9 years as club captain.

Has also led the AFLPA as president ( and may be currently??) and served on its board, including a stint as chair.

He served on the Laws of the Game committee..

He's written a book.

Academically, he holds a BSc and an MBA.

From his manager's site:
Matthew has also been involved in a number of small business ventures. He is co-founder of PickStar, an online platform providing direct connections to over 500 sports stars for events, marketing and promotions, as well as being a director of PMY Group which develops, implements, manages and commercialises digital, technology and data projects for its clients.

Matthew has also played a role in a variety of charities including the Starlight Foundation, Camp Quality and PBF.
Pffft, Brett Burton has a degree that'd qualify him to be a personal training. Why would he listen to that guy?

This
I’d easily have him on the field next year ahead of Tex and JJ if he wants to extend the scope of the appointment.

You dont remember his last couple of seasons?
Wouldn't be surprised if Tex suggested this appointment himself.

Pav is a big load of nothing for mine.
You want blokes who aren't afraid to be unpopular but back up their position with fact and logic. You want a home town here then get Tredders in. He is as astute an observer as I know in the game and he dont give a toss what anyone thinks even when it comes to crucifying his own club.
We dont need any more softly softly advice no matter what accolades the deliverer holds which is exactly what u will get from Pav. He also presents a conflict of interest or two.

Love Dunstall and admit I know nothing about the other 2 but It does seem very footy dept focused which to my mind is more papering over the cracks.

Who's there besides Dunstall with any experience in building a truly successful"Club" culture?

Any word on how this panel were selected and by whom?

Membership, sponsorship and the corporate side is going pretty well.

You would think Brett Burton and anyone involved with the players is in scope.

Burton is the boss of all those areas you just listed.

Ok, so who in the Crows admin fu**ed this one up?

Dunstall? WTF!

I demand to know who stepped out of line and got something right?

You want to find out who was responsible? Just wait until the review is finished and the club releases the censored, watered-down, toothless version of the actual report. Then watch and see who the only person to lose their job is, and that'll be your culprit

Bicks laying a bit of groundwork there?

"Probably a bit hard to ring the changes immediately, might need to move some people sideways and then let them go next year"

I.e. it's too late to go shopping for new staff.

It's never too late to sack people.

Essendon sacked coaches mid-season and immediately improved, preferring to go in with no one than who they had

I read it as, we cant fire everyone under contract this year. Might not be able to afford it.

Might mean..Get rid of Pyke but that means Burton moves sideways to the home base development plan for a year before we can afford to fire him.

We're not getting rid of Pyke. Bicks kind of gave it away that we would do like the other reviews and try to surround the coach with more competent people.

Imagine if the review came back and said Brett Burton was the right man for the job and it's actually all the players' fault for everything

The meltdown of BF server will be absolute, irreparable and final.

It'll be like 2018. Make some changes around the edges and hope it turns around.

I don't believe the core guys like Roo, Burton and Campo will be going anywhere. To Rob Chapman touching them is an absolute non-starter.

How long was the review that Dunstall lead at Hawthorn?
Can he do with us what he managed to do there, in the timeframe he has with us?

Like I said earlier, if the review says Burton isn't doing a good job, we'll probably scrap all the findings and ask for a second review from someone more... favorable

They'll say their internal review didn't align with the external one and since they're working with him every day clearly their review is the better one to follow.

Yes but one of many questions such as:' Does the club place too much emphasis on all of the above when concidering traditional club values and how does that effect on field performance, player retention etc, member satisfaction and engagement etc, exist and will remain unanswered until every facet of this now commercial organization is turned over.

A successful club is the sum of all things.
I couldn't give a rat's arse what the figures tell us and I dont pay money to be impressed by such things.
