How about an alternative view ? 'Trump winning, the American people have spoken' is factually incorrect. What this election has proven is the danger of increasing apathy across the broader societal landscape. (Australia is not excluded from this assessment).

Trump did not increase his voting base from 2016. Not one extra individual voted for Trump in 2024 compared to then. In fact, he received less votes.
What actually occurred and is in fact alarming is the majority did not vote at all. They are so disenchanted and disconnected that someone like Trump and his merry band of billionaires can take power and will now use that for their own personal gain.
Now I do want to state very clearly, I am neither left or right or up or down or in or out. I am simply an observer who engages critical thinking and analyses multiple points of view to formulate my own conclusions.

Harris 74,999,166 or 6,285,500 fewer than Joe Biden got.

Which in turn is 774,847 more than Donald Trump got which he claims gives him a sweeping mandate to rule of the country like a King. In the end Trump did win by a huge margin, but the reality is that he fell short of 50% of the popular vote and got nowhere near the historic high margins of Reagan, Clinton, Bush II or Obama.
