We got told in this thread both sides were the same, yet Biden and Harris both spoke about a peaceful and seamless transition of power

Are you alluding to the Lewinsky affair or his Presidency in general ?

As for his Administration, from memory his economy was quite strong , with good growth and unemployment low overall,
However globalisation was in full swing , resulting in the loss of many blue collar industries decimating whole communities.
While tech industries took off , steel making and the car plants were gradually disappearing from the rust belt states.
Here we are today with the wealth gulf resulting in many Americans disenchanted with their lot in the
“wealthiest country “on earth.
You can mount the argument he is partly responsible for the massive divide today ?

What do you think ?

As for the Lewinsky thing, yep ethically and morally wrong, but not a criminal offence.
Can’t say the same for new President elect.

Innocent until proven guilty.
He paid $850,000 USD to make the Paula Jones case go away.
The other cases also went away.

Bill Clinton built a fence (wall) on the California/Mexico boarder 523 kms long. And everybody loved it.

The Clinton "Foundation". I'll let you make up your own mind about that one.

This isn't a crack at you Harold. But what baffles me is that I can't recall anyone at the time or since being outraged by Bill's behaviour.
Surely we should be holding all politicians and leaders to the same standards.

There was no big footy back in the day, so maybe I would have been all over those issues but I’m not here to defend Clinton or anybody else.
My discussion is the suitability of Trump to be the leader of anything, you and others seem to be arguing because others
had “ baggage “ why can’t he ?
