Won't do anything. Soccer hooliganism is ingrained in the culture now. It still happens in the PL, just not in the stands but there are reasons why there are sometimes police escorts to and from the ground or away fans are kept in the pen until after the home team has left.

Went to an away game in Watford and it was very civil, went to one in Cyprus and we had a police escort and had to stay inside for about another 45mins.
Was over in the UK in 2018 and went to watch a midweek game between QPR and Millwall at Loftus Road.

They wouldn't sell a walk up ticket unless you were with a QPR season member (even with me clearly being from Australia) and then they'd blocked off streets back to the station after the game and kept the home crowd in for 30 mins after.

QPR and Millwall don't have any real rivalry, they just both reside in London. Was crazy to me the lengths they went to on a Wednesday night fixture.

Al Ittihad 3-0 up against Auckland City in the club world cup. Coming into half time.

Think this might be the biggest disparity in wages between two sides ever.

Auckland are a bunch of amateurs earning buttons every week. Probably lucky to push 10k / week for the entire squad.

Benzema / Kante etc all earning 500k / week of oil money.

Completely forgot this guy was on our list. Such a brilliant footballer. Such a shame he habitually misses half a season to injury.

Not showing his highlights of being a turnstyle or passing straight to the opposition

Violence rarely happens in the grounds unless away fans are caught in the home ends. It regularly occurs before and after games though.

In the African football awards, Bounou from Sevilla/Al Hilal won GK of the year,

But then he didn't make the GK spot in the team of the year. How does this make any sense?
Onana stiff to miss out

Mourinho once referred to Ozil as the best 10 in the world.

Football has evolved considerably since then, he wasn’t considered a luxury player or unable to fit in a press until much later in his career. At his peak, which I presume is what Mourinho has based his selection on, phenomenal footballer.

I get all that, just didn't pick Ozil as a Mou type player.

Midfield wise thought he would have had Essien ahead of Ozil personally.
I guess Hazard wasnt your typical Mou footballer either. But he still needed these types in his teams, Ozil was pretty awesome at Real under Mou.

Mou has managed several top teams so you could probably put a few very good 11 players together. This team would give his selection a good game.

Benzema Ibrahimović
Eto'o Kane Robben
Alonso
Cole Ramos Pepe Maicon
Casillas

I think people forget how brilliant Ozil was at Real Madrid. He was so fun to watch.

I read a quote from Mourinho once where he said that he could turn his back at training and he'd know when Ozil struck a ball because his technique was so good that it just sounded different.

Yes that’s what floored me at the time Arsenal signed him - a genuine world class footballer, at his age, from Real Madrid, it was ground breaking stuff. His partnership with Ronaldo there at the time was something else, as was his assist stats.

I do fondly remember the memes at the time.

Football evolved in the years afterwards, many teams moved away from playing traditional 10s. He was a player kind of left behind in between two eras, hence the label of luxury player which he wasn’t able to overcome in the final years of his career. At his peak however, magnificent.

Quite a team. You wonder if the likes of KDB and Salah could have found a space if they did for Mourinho what they've done elsewhere.
It would be easier to see KDB replace someone since he’s a midfielder and every bit as great as Ozil was.

Salah is harder to find a place for, even though he’s world class himself. He would only go into that front 3, which contains one of the greatest CF’s in PL history in Drogba and no one is obviously replacing Ronaldo. Hazard?
