You'd call those contested plays in tight "highlights"? I'm not even sure why they were included.I just watched that and have no idea how you reached that conclusion.
Most of the "highlights" were him kicking goals.
Some of the highlights were him in tight. Contested.
Some were running past . Outside.
The only apparent thing from that video was how much more confidence the mids had. Confidence and speed.
You can deny the goals were "highlights", but without Warner's scoreboard impact, he's not the same Warner. So how he scores his goals are a pretty major part of the picture of him as a player.
As for the "some" running past on the outside, I would change that to "most." A large majority of them were him either out the back or the front of a stoppage, holding his width or swooping on a loose ball in time and space.
I wonder where he could find more of that time and space...
