Isn't it amazing how history repeats...Moores ability to run thru a contest and take the ball off hands is Breusty 101. What a great gift to have and for us to see again week in week out for another 10 years.
That was Cal Porter (edit: I'm 95% sure - otherwise it was Ed Phillips!)Who was wearing the number 36 in the intra-cub highlights? He did some nice things
No, you've got it all wrong. Breust didn't play rugby league, he is just Brett Stewart's cousin!Oh I didn’t know Moore used to play rugby league.![]()
51 Brown was ed phillips 36 was porterThat was Cal Porter (edit: I'm 95% sure - otherwise it was Ed Phillips!)
Other Box Hill player in the highlights at full forward for Brown without a number was Lachy Wynd. (Son of early 90s U19 & Reserves Hawk Stuart Wynd)
51 Gold was Mitchell Sruk
55 Gold was James Blanck
56 Brown was Jaylon Thorpe
Very hard to do that under pressure in real games. Defenders will push up to crowd the space and make it a lot harder. Probably there is a mind shift to go forward more but it can be perilous. Will make for some fun and agonising watching at times if that is our tactic.Watching the highlights there seems to be a focus on always hand balling forward.
Have any track watchers noticed this or any other obvious changes to the way we are moving the footy?

Pretty sure he was being facetious due to commentators constantly mentioning itHe most certainly did at junior levels.

Hawthorn's Luke Breust disappointed to miss State of Origin
Every AFL player is desperate for their mid-season bye, but for Hawthorn's Luke Breust the timing isn't quite right.www.smh.com.au

He just got the cousin wrong
Vertical runner? We have stairs on footy grounds?
Was definitely a joke - referring to the commentators spending years speaking about the relationshipMy bad. Apologies, Mitchell Madness if this was the case. I get paid to prove people wrong for a living - hard to switch off sometimes!
Whoever it is. In fairness, I watch Melbourne storm, not the nrlI think you mean Trent Barrett![]()
Agree - he looked very good. Just has to hold his marks and kick straight. From the few clips I saw in the club's footage, Jeka seems to be getting into good spots and really show good running patterns in the forward line. I guess it stood out more as we haven't had that for a while. Still has a lot of work to do with his finishing and still has some filling out to do but I like what I've seen.
Newk, MacDonald, Ward all mentioned.
We seem to be building a really good backline with lots of run. I would include Frost into your list too - as dumb as he can be at times with frees, I still like his run.
He's not dumb, but he can do dumb things sometimes. It happens.Ease up on dumb comments mate. He is a hawthorn player and really stood up in the backline when it was constantly under seige last year. Frosty embraced the club from the day he arrived and has played some really great games
Looked anything but “dumb” when he towelled you Franklin last year with his speed and defensive pressure
Ease up there turbo! I think it was pretty clear what he meant and I didn't see it as offensive.Ease up on dumb comments mate. ImissFrosty Loves him for sure, bit too much sometimes.Ease up there turbo! I think it was pretty clear what he meant and I didn't see it as offensive.
Frost DOES do things that look dumb, often. It doesnt mean he isnt a blast to watch, doesn't embrace the club, doesnt give it everything or isn't a very good footballer with unique attributes.
I wouldn't change him, 'dumb' but so damn exciting. Loads of melbourne fans still love him for the same reasons.
