I like Vossy as a person. I wanted him to succeed so badly here, but it looks like 2023 was as good as it's going to get with him as our coach.

Of course we have players on this list who just aren't good enough as well.

List management has left him down, but his position as Carlton coach will probably be untenable if we lose to the Eagles next week.

We should have irons in the fire now for Simpson or Longmire. No point waiting for Voss to turn it around.
He's very limited with the playing group he has anyway. Start getting things in place before another club steals them for an Assistant or Footy Director if not Head Coach.

Totally agree - I think Longmire would be target 1, Simpson 2.
I just can't see the club pulling the trigger until we can't make the finals (barring capitulations to Weagles, Norf - then he will be gone in 2 weeks)

I actually think there's something in this.
Kennedy was one of the most loved players around the group and a heart and soul type.. you trade these guys out and it can really impact.

The game plan is rubbish. The coaching is rubbish. The fact we've been rolled in not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 second halves suggests the new fitness regime may have got it wrong this preseason trying to change the body composition of players and has to be looked at.

The list management of trading out two of our top 5 goal scorers from last year and topping up with Evans, White.. yuck. Where other supposed contending teams improved their list, we took ours backwards under the guise of changing the midfield dynamic.. when the reality is it was all a play to find some more $$ for TDK because we've overpaid at the top end. Coach gone. List management gone.

Soooo I was on here and deleted my account after being attacked about my stance in Voss. Again amazing player, met him at junior footy, he put a medal around my neck but as the coach of my beloved club. No Bueno… We are worse than we have ever been. Have arguably the best spine in afl and in the interview - the filth openly said they had us after half time with some changes. Did we change? Or expect Cripps to poll 3 votes again?

Should there be a loss against Eagles & Roos, reckon Vossy will be shown the door.
Multiple and complex issues need to be addressed a diligent review necessary.
Chase Longmire or Simpson if available and willing before they’re snapped up.

I still maintain I want Voss to coach out the year. I don't want to give any of our assistants the opportunity to put 'head coach' on their CV. The lot of them have been so poor especially Clark. How someone can see the same issues with the midfield for a full year and not make one change is bewildering.

Not too concerned about the board. But from Brad Lloyd down big clean out needed including ALL assistants. Longmire was the best coach in the league when he was at the Swans. Have said it for years. If they end up going with a new coach he should be the first they go to.

I probably don't have enough knowledge about them. They all seem the same to me. The football department however is a clear issue. Assistants should have gone with Lloyd last year.
