Woori or Olind I believe.
Worries still have great talls and the best forward in the league. Plus a great coach

Olinda have some great size around the ground making them hard to match up with. Addition of Lachy Kennedy and Stuart Horner playing a bit more makes them dangerous.

Wandin, daylight, then either of those 2 for runners up.
The best and most dynamic fwd in the league plays at Wandin.
The best player in the league will play several games at Wandin as a 1 point player and well and truly qualify for finals.
Not sure what to make of yesterday. Either Wandin are frighteningly good or Mr Ev have gone backwards. One game, but not a good sign for the rovers…..

I went and watched Warby and Belgrave on the weekend. Warby are going to be very hard to beat. There midfield is very good and if anyone’s seen Tom Baker before that guy at this level is a handy player. Belgrave lost a few to season ending injuries.
Warby are the team to beat for me in D1. I think Pakenham will be up there, but hard to gauge after result with Yea.

Baker is very good, and they have a lot of depth.

Belgrave also have a lot of depth, would still expect them to play finals.

In what universe is Gibson a better forward than Mullett?

If you believe the whispers very close to pakky gazzette office Pakenham will be in a new look west gippsland comp(2 div),this may happen as early as next year they say, officer have always been happy in outer east but a new look committee and president made up of former players from the 90s may change that,I know they have spoken to Pakenham recently about what they are looking to do,I doubt the Pakenham move but I guess we will see what plays out.

As soon as you mentioned the Pakky Gazette I switched off…. 😃

Officer has no plans to go anywhere and very happy in Outer East. As for Pakenham they did have a look at some options but at this time decided they are happy too with no plans to move. The so called merger between West Gippsland and Ellinbank has been around for years but there are long standing rivalries and baggage and I cannot see any merge of these leagues anytime in my lifetime.

Both would jump at the chance to go back to west gippy, please don’t say pakky aren’t still trying too get back into it now becouse they are,may not be successful but one thing is for sure and that’s west gippy will be getting revamped in some form in next few years

Just curious, anyone know where the much beloved Chairman of the OE landed after he nuked the YMDFL by pushing an unnecessary league merger?

Interesting salary cap debrief. Parents or anyone other than the player paying a players membership has to go into the cap.

Also sign on fees are included in the cap.
If you believe the whisperings a struggling div 1 club payed all their sign on fees in cash. Guess apples are doing alright this year.

Sign on fees have always supposed to be included.

Not very fair on ressies and unders players if they get a parent or there workplace to “sponsor” them and pay their fees. We should be encouraging players to find ways to pay there fees because that’s the difference between keeping them in the game and working on a Saturday instead.

Pretty sure it’s one in all in on free membership.
