There’s really no difference between the top few in Div 1 and majority of premier.

Not sure I agree. Will see when they play some of the decent sides. Upwey could be in for a troubling year given the rumours around a move to EFL. Have a feeling the gap between the top few and the others could be significant.

Disappointing result for Upwey after being spoken about as big improvers.

In saying that top 4 is set in both Divisions you’d think

Woori or Olind I believe.
Worries still have great talls and the best forward in the league. Plus a great coach

Olinda have some great size around the ground making them hard to match up with. Addition of Lachy Kennedy and Stuart Horner playing a bit more makes them dangerous.

Wandin, daylight, then either of those 2 for runners up.

some ripping games in Div 1, this weekend coming up! Alex vs Seville, sure to be a belter.
Powelly vs Pakenham, will also be a ripper I think. Towners will be hard to beat after that stellar round 1 performance, and ofcourse Pakky showing great signs too.
 
Powelly vs Junction only one boundary and one goal umpire (Other goalie volunteer). Any other D1 games not have full quota of umpires.

Pakenham by 10+ goals.
Powelltown have recruited well but are coming from miles back.

I went and watched Warby and Belgrave on the weekend. Warby are going to be very hard to beat. There midfield is very good and if anyone’s seen Tom Baker before that guy at this level is a handy player. Belgrave lost a few to season ending injuries.

Hahaha stellar round 1......they played Yarra Junction, hardly a challenging match up. But if you ask the league they already have Powelltown engraved on the trophy

Long season ahead and many variables for all. Wandin looked good but it’s only one game.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Olinda will be ok. Recruited some good types and have a really good squad.

Woori are always up there and I think Monbulk and Gembrook Cockatoo will be up there as well.

It’s going to be a close and even season me thinks.
