Yep, I don’t know why some Carlton supporters took umbrage to that comparison. Walsh getting more of the ball earlier in his career. Murphs a much better kick though.

Because it was used as an insult to knock Walsh and his perceived ceiling after his flying start. And that he lacks “weapons”.

Walsh will have a better career than Murph, but we never saw a fully fit injury free Murph in a top side.

Time will tell. Will need to clean up has disposal. Gets a lot of it though and works extremely hard.

If he gets to Murphy’s level you guys should be wrapt.

Anyone who knows football can tell that Sydney Stack is a better player than Sam Walsh. He's getting 20 possessions a game from half-back, can mark the ball, can run through players and is running at an unprecedented 80% kicking efficiency for a first year player.
You sound like a 15 yr old kid in the School ground trying to win an argument

I think in time, last years draft will go down as the goat of all drafts - ****ing amazing talent.

Geez there's some amazing young talent in the comp. Player who I think goes under the radar a bit? Miers, ****ing gun! just has so much game sense - you cant teach that

Also about turnovers - I think its a stat that is used too often in isolation - Dusty is a turnover king but I wouldnt have it any other way bc time and again he goes for so many outrageous line breaking kicks. Hes actually a very good kick and if he went the safe option, hed have a much better kicking efficiency but wouldnt be anywhere near the player he is.

And Miers wasn’t even in last years draft

Your point still stands though about how good the draft from last year looks

Intersting article saying Champion Data has Sydney Stack, Connor Rozee and Bailey Smith ranked above Sam Walsh for Rising Star Award. https://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-06-2...ar-stats-say-gun-blue-is-not-in-the-top-three

"EARLY in the season, it seemed a fait accompli the No.1 draftee from last year, Sam Walsh, was destined to win the NAB AFL Rising Star Award. Now, the stats reveal he might not deserve to finish on the podium.

That's the verdict from Champion Data, which has a surprise name in the top three, ahead of the ultra-impressive Blue."

Were the top 15 all Melbourne players?

Stack definitely a better player than Walsh because he can run though players

But that said the fact there is TWO Sydney Stack threads on the first page of the mainboard tells me that he's the best thing ever and Richmond are unreal, ****in love the Tiges eh. Ripping theme song, really tickles the balls as they say. ****IN' YELLOW AND BLACK!!!!!!
