Sure he's soft he'd fit right in again.
He's a crucial part of the 22 for the unbeaten current premiership favourites, you've always been wrong about Karl but it's particularly clear how wrong you are this year.

He's being used to his strengths by a decent coach that's all that's happening, soft outside players that run from their own shadow are not a new thing in this sport.

Amon was very good for us in his last two seasons. Every bit as good as what he has shown at hawthorn. Was an AA nominee and got 26 Brownlow votes in 2 years, I don’t think he’s done that at Hawthorn.

The compo we got for him was bs, but it’s allowed us to get more games into the likes of Burgoyne, Evans, Sinn, etc.

POSTING UPDATE

After this wild run of posts, I'm on 34. That's not a good innings. I'm running out of time.

philreich and Bump Bailey are almost at the 200-post mark. There are currently 7 who have reached it.

Us against the rest is doing great once again. He has posted almost 300 times, being the 3rd most-active poster in this thread.
But I wish we didn't have to be active in this thread any more, as it would mean that he's already been sacked.

I'd like to ask them what Ken is actually responsible for?

Apparently it's not skills, or selections, or tactics, or fitness, or mental prep.........

Edit:.......or conversion, or culture, or standards, or mindset

For saving us from 2012, don't you remember......

Big assumption to make. It's also interesting how you're willing to give the doctor the benefit of the doubt, despite a number of questionable calls over the years, including most recently clearing Rozee to play - but give no such benefit of doubt to Ken who has always said he leaves these calls to the medical team.

It could be as simple as the doctor isn't as good as we think (yes, he's experienced, but that doesn't mean he's good).

We've seen a number of players injuries not managed optimally, including delaying surgery only to then need surgery later, rushed back and re-injured etc etc.

It sounds like we're about to rush Butters back this week - no doctor worth his salt would be clearing these players regardless of what pressure Ken puts on them.

I'm gonna miss this thread once the reign of terror is over.
Ken's already gone in my mind. Everyone really should be in the "I've lost my faith in Chris Davies" thread.

Hinkley has clearly checked out and Davies, Richardson, Koch and the spineless board are all to blame for perpetuating the farce that is the 2025 season.

If ken doesn't make it through the season which game do people think will be kens last.? You know koch will hold on to hope for as long as possible but there will be a breaking point eventually I'm going to predict round 13 against Gws away. Which would be ironic if it were to be that game
Surely he couldn't survive a 100 point Showdown loss. Then again, knowing Koch, we could lose every game until the Gold Coast game, and he might still be there, with 5000 people watching.

I feel a good AFL script would be losing every game from now up to a "fairytale" Showdown (where he cries again), which enables him to keep his job for another agonising 12 rounds. they are gonna finish above us and play finals so that would be the "win" over them this season

Yup and it always has been our biggest issue. Our best 22 has been pretty good for a number of seasons) - but it only ever takes a few injuries for the soft underbelly of our list to be exposed. Our recruiting has been great and terrible simultaneously. Some great pickups, but some horrible misses that end up clogging the list.
Mindset is a priceless tool. I can't remember how many players Collingwood turned over between the end of 2022 and the start of 2023, but they went from 17th to a kick away from a grand final. If Carr can instill confidence and self belief into our players when he finally takes over, I don't think things are as dire as some are suggesting. It's one of the key reasons why Hinkley has to go NOW!!!

Once the Sack Hinkley thread is gone, I'm all for the Unchair Koch thread.
We got 3 Kochie threads. 1 general one, 1 sack one, 1 about him making the club vanilla.

100%.

Hinkley has actually instilled negativity into this players for 13 years. It's bat$hit crazy.

A positive and intelligent Carr could swing us 20 to 30 points without lifting a finger.

Recently we've had good teams and they've done well but with a few injuries this year, Hinkley has shown he couldn't get juice out of an orange.

So this year you've got the usual negativity mixed in with ambivalence of his last year. He will be hoping that Butters cracks the team up.

I don't think the list is that bad. I think its quite good but the nice boat has been rudderless for a long time.
