does any of the above actually mean anything? Just non-committal ramblings, word salad. By design too. The art of saying a lot of words without actually saying anything at all that you can be held accountable to. complete horseshit.

This reeks of management consultant mumbo jumbo. Wonder which board member is priming Stinkley with this stuff. 🤔

Same.old word salad mate. Never heard any specific comments about what we didn't do or why it happened. This could literally be the response after any loss by anyone ever.

No, didnt laugh. I think there was some connection the way the person spoke but I didn't probe coz I wasn't interested in continuing the conversation based on her opinion that he has been a good coach.

Koch has highlighted at AGMs the positive role the family has played within the club & I'm sure from a player welfare perspective it would be true. Most of us know that Kens strength is his player welfare management. Not in the sense of preparing players to win football games but in caring about their off field welfare. And this is where Ken should have placed himself within the Afl system rather than fluffing about as a head coach.
Two things about Carr taking over as coach:
  • He actually knows what it's like to win a premiership - once as a player, and once as coach of North Adelaide, so he's already way ahead of Hinkley
  • I'm pretty sure he won't want to be seen as a father figure.
So although he's got a mountainous task ahead of him to bring back the real Port Adelaide, that's a reasonable start.

Surely a doctor couldn’t have gotten it THAT wrong - had to have been pressured by a desperate Hinkley.
Big assumption to make. It's also interesting how you're willing to give the doctor the benefit of the doubt, despite a number of questionable calls over the years, including most recently clearing Rozee to play - but give no such benefit of doubt to Ken who has always said he leaves these calls to the medical team.

It could be as simple as the doctor isn't as good as we think (yes, he's experienced, but that doesn't mean he's good).

We've seen a number of players injuries not managed optimally, including delaying surgery only to then need surgery later, rushed back and re-injured etc etc.

It sounds like we're about to rush Butters back this week - no doctor worth his salt would be clearing these players regardless of what pressure Ken puts on them.

Yes - again, the blame is on the doctor for clearing him. You can pot Ken for many things, but this isn't on Ken.
Doctor did a terrible job but come on. He was out cold. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to know you dont send him back on.

Our injury list has one top end player out - Butters.

BZT is rank average at best.

Burton has been flakey for 2years and in and out of the side.

Jones…well look at his R1 performance and that isn’t an isolated occurrence.

Lord is totally unproven.

Luko is speculative as has done nothing.

If Ken, or anyone else for that matter, thinks these guys (bar Butters) returning is going to make a lick of difference they are dreaming.
Gotta agree. Although I still have a lot of faith in Luko coming good

He doesn't know why we lost. He can't probably with assistance point to stats we didn't do well in that we expect to do well in, but he doesn't know why we didn't do well in them.

That's why his press conference excuses are so generic and full of deflection. He doesn't know.

When smart coaches lose, they can articulate why, and do.

I reckon i've cracked why he never selected John Butcher. I think its because Butch bashed Jordy.

And Butch didn’t love his dad

He'll be what he was at Gold Coast he'll do some very elite things mixed with looking like Westhoff & Todd on shrooms all while being as soft as Amon.

I’d have Amon back in a heartbeat
