Up to the Slag Heap but it sounds like depending on who you helped in Zalissya changes where you go and what you do from then on. I've managed to find a few artefacts but can only equip one as it's the only one that doesn't emit radiation. I'm trying to upgrade my armour with lead pockets to hold artefacts but either I need better armour that has that upgrade or I need to find a better technician.

Noticing more little things that could use a polish. My main one is upgrading things like weapons at the technicians is really unclear if the upgrade is installed or not. I also read that the game has a memory leak and it finally hit me after playing for about 3 or 4 hours straight. Once the FPS suddenly tanks and doesn't recover (for me it was in the single digits) just restart the game and it's fixed.

This is so damn good. I was probably a bit too cautious about not going to too many places I wasn't directed to in the Lesser Zone but after leaving the area and still holding my own I think I might go back and fully explore it, looking for stashes, finding side missions and maybe some early gear intended to make you a little more OP in the early game.

Sunk about 30 hours in so far. This is a brilliant game. Have died around 60 times.

Really impressed with how variable the main story decisions are. But just doing all the side missions and exploring.

Will be great when they fix the economy, bullet sponginess of some of mutants, optimise the performance etc

edit: And the spawns. fix the damn spawns

Refreshingly immersive, challenging and brutal game

Yeah it was definitely weird to have a bunch of hostile military guys spawn behind me in a poisonous hole area in the middle of the night while I was searching for an artifact when it was completely quiet otherwise.

Generally I've been fairly lucky with spawns though, haven't always been ideal but generally not too bad or unmanageable.

Uh oh, angered some factions?

I think so. My fault for not differentiating between IPSF and Ward because they both wear camo and have ranks on their names. Early on I was desperate for supplies and didn't think it would matter too much who I looted. The factions are so ambiguous at the start and it's hard to work out what will affect who. IPSF (I think?) will shoot on sight right from the start (again, I think?) so sometimes I ambushed NPCs in camo thinking it was IPSF when it was Ward. I think I'm friendly with the Ward again because I hiked to the chemical plant and did some quests and they turned green. However they still won't let me into the plant but at least they don't shoot on sight anymore.

My decision in Zalissya
I gave the sensors to Richter because it sounded like Zotov was going to round up some Stalkers and execute or imprison them. This probably didn't negatively affect my standing with Ward but "accidentally" killing and looting a few would have tipped me from neutral to negative.

Was at a settlement and heard something on the radio that made me want to squat in an Adidas tracksuit. Trying to look up the radio playlist I learnt that apparently the games has over 400 licensed Ukrainian songs lol. The full playlist has been added to Spotify. Anyway, I think I found what I heard

Playlist

Also just on my previous post about being impressed in the developer's research into accurate plant equipment, I take it back a little. NFI what is going on here... 3 motors coupled together lol

Been finding it hard to put this one down. I had intended to just patiently wait for patches and do some side quests, if that, but I've been doing a bit of everything, main missions and all.

Yeah it may have known issues and bugs/glitches, but geez, at least in my experience it's hardly "completely broken" or unplayable like some detractors try to say. I'd give it an 8/10 so far, and that's in the current state.
