Yeah I’m really excited about this one.

Ignore them. Even the first game was used as a culture war football. First game was good and by all reports this one is as good if not better.

Ugh of course it was.

Anyway my next deliberation is whether to pre-order the Gold Edition or not. I know there's many who poopoo pre-ordering at all, but I'm that bullish on what I've seen of this game. Plus if I could handle Stalker 2's launch after pre-ordering I should be fine

In a nutshell;

KCD: Give us black people and make women prominent and give us more!.

Time period wise; women were at the house, doing menial labour, men went and did things to be prominent figures. Global travel wasn't really great and widespread.

KCD2: Saudi's said unskippble gay sequence so banned, people got pissy at a third party forum thing on Steam. To go with the above.

Hence ignore it, the whinger have NFI about time period set pieces so they just want their wheeties and for everyone to have soggy wheat whether they like it or not. Then in same breath it's "Henry can't be homo, he's a set character" as if Shep couldn't do anything with Cortez previously for example.

For further example, Bohemia at this time was rampant Christianity, so can imagine Henry with unskippable homo scene ending in "hung at execution for buggery.". As you know, time period checks out. So people need to calm the farm at present for mine.

Also also; pick herbs.

I'll pre-order the day before probably if there is pre-loading or comes with some meaningful content (haven't actually checked). Pre-ordering digital games doesn't make much sense to me otherwise lol.

From their website, collectors you get all the maps pins and such so for me at least; not worth a preorder, check pricing at places as either way you're getting the quest going by the above and it's how much do you care for a expansion pass for extra DLC instances and a what, armour and weapon set?

I'll get gold for the expansion pass as I'll likely get all the DLC/expansions like I did the first game. Just read that there is no DRM so unfortunately no preloading on Steam.

Interesting its not on GOG if there's no DRM, was hoping it would be.

But yeah I was contemplating the Gold preorder mostly for the expansion pass. No idea if its decent value or not, but I suppose you never can know until the DLCs all come out and compare pricing.

Just an update on the scuttle at present, and I'll spoiler as it's a leak;

The Saudis banning this is a bit presumptive, as people who have play tested are stating it's like 5 seconds of visuals, not forced and very secretive, said visuals are brief kiss and lay on bed. Meanwhile - many many many naked womens and longer more involved scenes. So this just seems like the "agenda" pushing a narrative for the sake of it.

Secondly, same peoples are all there is one black person, total, just one, and they are not heavily involved but treated like a pariah and an oddity. So again, pushing a narrative?

And they stated lockpicking was still shit but everything else was brilliant.

So for those that don't wish to read the playtester leak;

No identity things, the Saudi response is a "blink and miss it" optional instance, and those that hate lockpicking, you have my sympathy, it still sucks apparently.

So again, disregard people having a whinge about what's in the game, they're largely rubbish.

Also as a fellow black metal enthusiast I've always noticed the shirts that Daniel Vavra has worn and because of that have always been confident that any of the dumb accusations thrown at him and this game were wrong or taken out of context.
