the difference is 1 is a premiership player who has been a decent contributor for us and the other is off the scrap heap from the Gold Coast

Doesn't exempt him from the lack of effort and especially defensive pressure. His first halves have been really bad this year.

Either way it's more a comment on all the criticism on Day. He's not playing well but he's still not our worst player out there. The tall forwards outside of Morris are a real worry for us

That is definitely a factor. We don't have the switch kick. Can't control the tempo with the chip kicks off half back either

Most of us knew it and probably took it for granted, whilst the media nitpicked any silly thing he’d do from time to time, but shit Joe made this forward line.

The biggest worry going into the season and nothing during the first month of the season has given me much confidence that we can win 3-4 cutthroat finals with this forward mix.

Even when the mids were off you knew we had enough points in us to always be a chance. We now have 2 underperforming talls and a 2nd year third tall forward as our keys. It doesn’t exactly strike the same fear into opposition teams.
