Reckon Ginni will have a blinder. A little wave bye bye to Kenny after the match wouldn't go astray either.Love Punky but he clearly comes out for one, maybe Cmac gets a run in the VFL til the other out becomes obvious?
Wouldn't be against giving Ginni a spell in the 2s but I wouldn't blame the club for not messing with a winning team too much.
I believe the plan is for James Blank to play in that scratch match against Essendon too. With him up and running, our B team key defenders, Blank, Frost, Serong is very strong. I wouldn't be too concerned running with that in the AFL considering last year it was just Frost or Serong in the semi.Box Hill now have a 2 week bye - they have their official bye this week and then the following week there is the VFL V SANFL state representative game, which means there are no VFL games played.
It is looking increasingly likely that there is going to be a scratch match between Box Hill and Essendon over that weekend to allow the players to get some game time.

For this game against Port, i'd be dropping Day, Newcombe, Meek or Watson before dropping Ginnivan. Like Collingwood game last year he'll be set for 3 brownlow votes.Ginnivan is not getting dropped.
He's a very important player.
I feel,No matter what, selection is going to feel really harsh. I think the Ginnivan conversation is valid.
Mackenzie gets HFF minutes when Worpel is in the side. Hardwick and Weddle are getting consistent minutes forward. Gunston’s presence helps the structure and he’s hitting the scoreboard himself.
There’s 3 smalls better than him in Moore, Wiz, Cmac, and other mids are going to have to rotate through the forward line with Worpel back.
For what it’s worth I’d keep him for Port, purely for the theatre and the inevitable airplane goal celly, but at some point we have to drop the rhetoric around deserving to be dropped, and accept that someone is going to undeservedly have to make way.
Genuinely reckon selection this year is more difficult than the 3peat era.
The comfortable win over the Bulldogs in the elimination final where Ward racked up 22 possessions and Worpel 20 - suggests they probably can.Can Worpel and Ward play in the same team?
ThisIN:
J. Worpel
C.MacDonald
OUT:
H.Morrison (omit)
L. Breust (omit)
B: J. Battle, T. Barrass, J.Impey
HB: J. Sicily, J. Weddle, K.Amon
C: M. D’Ambrosio, W. Day, J. Ward
HF: D. Moore, M. Chol, C. MacDonald
F: N. Watson, B. Hardwick, J. Ginnivan
FOL: L. Meek, J. Newcombe, J. Worpel
INT: C. Mackenzie, C. Nash, F. Maginness, C. Jiath, J. Gunston
One of Maginness, Gunston, Ginnivan for sub.
Ginnivan could be a good sub but I’d give him an opportunity to start. Maginness is unlikely due to his power running however his versatility makes sense. Gunston is the likely one, Hardwick and Chol given the role as the targets with Day and Newcombe going down to provide another presence. Gunston can come on and provide an aerial contest, play a defensive forward role, and as we know he is still versatile enough.Maybe Ginnivan sub, Maginnes sheer running grunt and pressure in the forward line, plus as we saw on Saturday against GWS the tagger option, means he stays. While Gunston is important for the goals and taking a key defender, Chol will bounce back from a bad day at the office and we need both. Ginnivan has a high footy IQ and can plug numerous holes.
Yes.Can Worpel and Ward play in the same team?
just get a bit frustrated with Maginness' disposal. Misses too many targets for my likingMaginness or Ward? Tough one
Pretty sure Croc was dropped to the twos for a game or two in either his first or second season. Tore it up at that level and hasn't been omitted since.Winner’s problems. You can say “player x won’t get dropped” about any of our players. If Croc is fit he comes in, he’s played every single game he’s been available for since he debuted (I’m 99% sure correct me if I’m wrong). Worps also in if fit based on pre-injury form.
Can’t even start to do a team lineup because I have absolutely no idea who comes out apart from Bruest (who again has done nothing wrong) just that appears to be his role this year.
I'd prefer neither, just get the job done.
The reality is that unfortunately we missed that flight last year, one we'll still be hurting about. So if we win i reckon we'll do it more graciously than Hinkley, who'll be forever remembered for that unsporting act. Selfish not only in ruining Breust's 300th game, but putting needless pressure on his side for their final the following week. I'd be pissed if Mitchell acted like that as a coach.Looking forward to half a dozen of them doing airplane celebrations after ginni kicks one in the 4th to put hawthorn 50 points up.

Port Adelaide are coached by a hideous genetically disfigured imbecile bearing a strong physical and social resemblance to Jabba the Hutt, who probably doesn't know what country India is in. He looks like when they were pouring the stupidity in, he forgot to say when. Please Hawthorn repeat Rnd 21 2011. Wipe this pathetic piece of coprolite from the face of the planet. He should not be permitted to have access to young minds. End it.
Those 2 games we lost should have been walkover 10 goal wins. First one we blew a 40 point lead, 2nd one we got jumped on intensity and struggled without Frost, Mackenzie and Day.A lot of people in this thread getting a head of themselves.
Port in Adelaide is never an easy task. In fact we lost there twice last year.
Yes on form we should beam them wherever but people acting like it will be a walkover 10+ goal win are wishful.
Line will probably be about 15 points
No better way to bury the memory of last seasons prelim loss than to dish out a 10 goal hiding. I want us to bury the fk out of them. I reckon the blonde prince will be wanting to make a statement too probably more so than Ginni.I really doubt there will be any theatrics in this game other than us smashing them by 15 goals. We can't get that prelim opportunity back- they beat us fair and square and the players just have to live with it.
We're a better team (and club) than to engage in some utterly pointless bullshit with a washed up coach whose team will likely finish bottom 4
Absolutely. We will win this comfortably. This is the same team that lost to Pies by 91 and Essn by 12 already this year. Hawks by plenty. Those 2 games we lost should have been walkover 10 goal wins. First one we blew a 40 point lead, 2nd one we got jumped on intensity and struggled without Frost, Mackenzie and Day.
We are going in well rested, plenty of time to prepare and analyse their game against saints, 2 huge defensive upgrades, Day back and better than ever, Mackenzie back and better than ever.
If we come out breathing fire we can crush them just like Collingwood did.
