If Hobbs is fit, and there is a spot than play him. No point in him hiding him cause we are coming up against a big bad scary midfield. Play him, he was drafted to play AFL.
Agree. Give him Snelling's role that we sorely miss.

His body looks AFL ready. We did it with Perk, Cox & Jones last year, do the same with Hobbs & Tex. Nothing to lose and we will benefit next year.

Even just to give a taste against the best, shows them what level they need to get to.

I'd give Bryan the next month, Keep Wright forward permanently, I'd also have the resting ruck play a kick behind the play rather than rest forward.

The playing ruckman can sit behind play, that’s pretty much what Gawn does. Lets Jackson take the forward stoppages. Similar with Geelong and Hawkins, Richmond and Lynch.

Phillips is - I think - the best forward of the ruck group of guys, and physically mature enough to stand his ground against a KPD like May.

Yeah you have to play a competitive ruck against Jackson or you’ll get destroyed. He’s an absolute weapon for them.
Jackson is pretty much the only second ruck I have little confidence in Wright against.

We need to bring in another tall or play Bryan/Phillips our forward structure breaks down when wright is off/ in the ruck.
Was thinking the same . Leave Wright at FF and play two rucks for now. Wright is not our long term number one guy but we need a permanent KP size player doing just the forward role.

Why can't Wright be our long term forward option? Certainly looked like a dominant forward at times on the weekend (against good opposition too). He has run 14km for the game so his aerobic capacity is good, he kicks the ball straight and there is no reason he can't be a 40-50 goal forward for the next 5 years (when we should be contending). This view of Peter Wright as a stop-gap until we develop someone better is certainly not my view. Add Jones, and Wright will get more one-on-one opportunities. To my eye he looks to be just getting better. I think he is a real asset.
