yeah i think he's tracking pretty well, he is a latecomer to footy lidderly played about 10 games.

he is looking like grimes replacement to me i know big call but rolewise i have seen him win 1on1s versus talls n smalls just like grimes

He has shown that he has the skills to make it, needs some time in the VFL to further develop but it's good to get games into young players and still get the win

There was slow mo vision they showed on Fox Footy that showed the shoulder/high arm collect his chin. Because of that, he will be taken out back and shot like ole' Yeller

Really good win. I loved that we kept the pressure up for pretty much the entire game. It's when we don't apply that pressure that kills us. Tonight it was great. Bolton gave close to his best ever performance, in my opinion. So much more dangerous when he's on the ball. Vlastuin and Broad superb all night, once again, but I think Young must go back to the VFL for a while. We can cover most team's tall forwards without him. I'd rather play Miller down there.

And while I didn't put the great man in my votes, it's no coincidence that we suddenly look better with, not just Bolton, but with Martin spending more time in the middle. He may not be kicking the goals himself at the moment, but he's certainly having a big influence in the ones everyone else is kicking.

And 7 free kicks for the game. Of which one was a mark anyway and two others were OOF. Freo are surely the most disciplined team of all time to only infringe 4 times in 120 minutes. Incredible. The AFL arselicking media can ignore it all they want but if it's not pure corruption from at least one umpire, it's most certainly stunning incompetence and that particular umpire should not be allowed to officiate at the highest level. Especially against us.

Basil was so bad he was almost entertaining. Not just his biased call, but his numerous mistakes throughout the call. He makes BT sound like Martin Tyler. And he didn't let one single pun regarding a players surname, no matter how cringeworthy it was, go unmentioned. He clearly has styled himself as some successor to Dennis Cometti, but Cometti could do 2 things that this idiot can't: he could call a game better than anyone else in the industry, plus his one-liners and puns were actually funny for the most part. How the **** was this idiot allowed back on TV to call a game. **** me.

And just to finish up with another example of Ch7 professionalism, the female presenter (forgotten her name, sorry), gave us this gem when describing the slaughter at Adelaide Oval this afternoon; "There were scenes today at Adelaide Oval".

My changes for next week:

In: Banks, Cumberland (if fit, if not give Coulthard a go).
Out: Young (omitted), Mansell (suspended)

I like Young, he works hard and does the defensive things well but as soon as the ball is in his hands it’s a worry.
Seems panicked under pressure and is prone to mistakes like Balta but without the saving grace of Baltas attacking options and long boot.
Can’t have them both in the same defence and Balta is well ahead.

Mansell will get time as ridiculous as it is.

Let’s give Banksy a well deserved crack.
