So what purpose i go back to of him being there? It goes without saying
If a bunch of nuffies on bigfooty can recognise it I’m sure a committee of professionals would be well aware that consists of people not employed by the club as well
This is just the warm up mateOK - I'm officially well and truly over it now.
What? You mean they had his back? We are in for a world of hurt
Sorry just got your sarcasm. LolOf course the players had the coaches back during the season!!!
What player is going to say when asked what they think of the coach, “well he’s just the caretaker, I don’t think he will do a very good job but it wasn’t our choice”.
I mean for *s sake, what are you people smoking?
Think TRIB summed it up pretty wellSo what purpose i go back to of him being there?
Regarding Cotchin involvement .
Is there anyone else who would know the playing group as well as Cotchin , isn’t affiliated with any other club and who won’t be playing under the new coach ?
Regarding Buckley , has there ever been a game in our dynasty , where we were in great form , where a player ( albeit a spud ) tore the side to bits and the coaching panel failed to respond to get the win ? ( USA prelim final )
Cotchin there to provide insight ( particularly Yze) on how players may respond to the perspective coach .
Figjam tactical and most importantly response to opposition coaches moves .
I'm still not keen on it as i can see a huge bias based on 7 years of friendship . I would've preferred another intelligent neutral. Nothing against Cotchin as he's an outstanding citizen and that's where he could actually influence others bc the football public and community hold him in high regards.Think TRIB summed it up pretty well
No point hiring a coach that the players won’t play for & if anyone is in a position to give that point of view it’s Trent especially without the bias of needing to play under whoever it is
I guess the way the played when the season was still alive he’s answered that question about playing for the coach, and the way the played for Dimma who they all loved in the last couple of seasonsThink TRIB summed it up pretty well

I think you might be jumping at shadows a bit TI.no sorry that's a cop out as subconsciously family and friends often don't even know they're doing it. They naturally have a tendency to be blindsided. Cotchin had no right to be involved the process bc he was a player under his instructions as an assistant or coach and not someone ranked above him. They actually can influence the board to vote for their mate.
Well surmisedI think you might be jumping at shadows a bit TI.
I don’t know they are asking Cotch to pick a candidate, but then we are all guessing at what his involvement really is.
So my guess, as one of the drivers of our successful culture as captain he might be helping to get some insight from Yze in particular about his views on that side of it.
As it has been started we aren’t looking to bring in wholesale changes at the club and I think the general culture that was established after 2016 is something they want to maintain (hopefully with a bit of a refreshing though).
As a captain he may also have some insight on player engagement etc that he can help question the candidates on.
I don’t disagree he may have a bias towards Mini, even subconsciously, but I don’t think it will have any great effect on the outcome, unless they really are coming down to deciding by a flip of the coin.
Possibly, but read on as I've given my major reasonI think you might be jumping at shadows a bit TI.
