The last comedian I can think of that actually got cancelled was Shane Gillis, when he got kicked off Saturday night live for some shit he said during a podcast.

Probably one of the best things that happened to him in hindsight. He’s huge now.

Like I wrote earlier, people can’t really be cancelled anymore.

Any comedian who claims they are being cancelled for jokes is either a shit comedian or a liar.

Nothing has changed in the world of comedy. Good stand up is good. Bad stand up is bad.

Good stand up is built on a foundation of 'punching UP' not punching down. Think of your George Carlins and Bill Hicks rallying against conservative culture and puritanical bullshit. There's a reason they're considered among the greats of all time.

Punching 'down' is just bad comedy. If you're using stand up to attack trans or gay people, or minorities... you aren't being "cancelled" when people tell you that it's just not good content.

Have you even watched his comedy specials? He literally says verbatim he's not Republican in his most recent Netflix special hahaha.
