You named like 8 groups from the past 40 years. Any evidence of them being hated by the left?

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

I’m saying they were hated by the right. 2 live crew literally had to fight against the justice system and won, probably one of the most important groups for that reason. A lot of music wouldn’t have been made if they didn’t win.

I’m saying now artists that go against the system are hated by the left.

Do you think there’s a bunch of people involved or it’s just her reinventing her story?

I don't know for certain obviously. Considering how amateur and clumsy it has been, I suspect it's largely self-driven by her.

Any actual management/PR company would do a better job.

How did you guys find out about her anyway?

Was it meta owned instagram, Newsweek or yahoo news?

Or are you all on some underground cassette trading edgelord underground exchanging unclean music?

I’m guessing it’s the former.

I would pay good money to bet they "discovered" her when the right-wingers on Twitter started tweeting about her this week.

Is karmadeggin your example? Do you have any others?

Hahahahahahahahaha.

Of all the many, many outright dumb and ignorant positions you've taken over the years in these lounge threads, this might be the most pathetic stance I've seen you take yet. :D

Let's get one thing absolutely clear right at the outset here; you don't know dick about me or my life, and trying to act like you do is shit campaigner stuff. How ****ing arrogant and delusional are you that you would think otherwise?! What's wrong with your brain hahahaha.

Yeah, you know a little about who I am today. A "privileged white guy with a house and a gubber job". But you don't know anything about what it took for me to get here. (Also hooray! I'll make sure to tell the white-supremacists that Jews are "white guys" now!)

Watching you try and gatekeep an entire genre of music would be hilarious if it wasn't so desperately pathetic.

You say I'm a "privileged white guy", as if you being Indian gives you even 1% more credibility when it comes to hip hop?! Hahahaha. I'm sure you'll reply with some nonsense about "yeah but I grew up around Islanders and black people/POC"... guess what? So did I, champ.

But hey, since you raised the topic let's do a quick review shall we? Seeing as you claim to know me so well. Let's compare "privilege" shall we, ferbs?

View attachment 2196442

If you;
  • Grew up in a house with both parents
  • Knew or ever even met your father
  • Didn't grow up in abject poverty
  • Ate good food every day and never went to bed hungry
  • Had stable housing
  • Went to good (or even just half-decent) schools
  • Had an opportunity to finish school and didn't have to drop out in high-school to enter the workforce to financially support your single mother
  • Weren't surrounded by crime
  • Had good access to health care
  • Know your extended family
  • Literally ever went on holidays as a kid, especially overseas
Then congratulations ferbs; you're more privileged than me.

I had an incredibly difficult upbringing and I gravitated towards punk and hip hop in my formative years because it resonated with me.

Where on Earth do you get off sitting there in rural Tasmania thinking it's okay to tell me about my life and try and say hip hop isn't something I could possibly understand, or whatever nonsense you're peddling here?! Hahahaha it is genuinely the stupidest thing I think I've seen you say, and considering some of the absolutely ridiculous sov-cit, cooker, conspiracy bullshit you've pushed in these threads, brother that is saying something.
When I was 12 years old people in government threatened my life to attack one of my parents, multiple times. I avoided multiple kidnap attempts and we ended up internally displaced in Australia, like refugees. There were times we had no where to live and times when the only good food I got was because my parents had grown it somewhere.

In all honestly that was a privilege you'll never have. I imagine if none of that had happened I'd have been the sort of dickhead I don't like now.

Anyway I'm not telling you about your life, just about what you are now based on your posting here. You listened to that music and you still don't get it do you? You have ears but you don't use them to hear properly. My background doesn't give me any advantages listening to hip hop. My preference to take the time to read and comprehend things then think about them does.

You never take the time to sit down and listen to what being said or carefully read what's being typed, you're too busy trying to label things so you can fit them into your boxes or stereotypes.

You claimed this woman singing this song said she turned right.

This is the lyric you're referring to:

Welcome to the chaos of the times
If you go left and I go right
Pray we make it out alive
This is Karmageddon

She is literally saying that if she chooses to be a right winger, ie picks a side, she is contributing to the problem and helping to drive the divisions that are (as she sees it) tearing society apart, while billionaires fleece everyone else. And if the person she is singing to does the same the other way (becomes a left winger) then they are doing the same thing.

So you chose not to listen to this lyric so you could fit it into your conflict driven framework about politics and use that to attack a poster you don't like.

Not decades ago when you were struggling to make something of yourself. Here and now, in 2025.

You should genuinely ask yourself if this is the person you wanted to be back then.

This is her business model. Good on her. She’s making a play for your clicks and it’s working.

I listened to her song once when someone mentioned it wasn't a hip hop song, to see if it was a good song. Its okay i sopose, not my thing. So yeah, good on her for getting publicity the only way she can in a super saturated market.

Hahahaha you're still doing it! Amazing stuff. Hilarious lack of self-awareness. I'd expect more from a private school boy like you, Ferbs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

You're so dumb you can't see the world's most obvious dog-whistle, and yet you sit there and try and tell me that I don't "understand" the songs that I listen to?!

This is truly incredible content this morning. Sincerely, thank you for the great laugh.

Oh the absolute irony of you saying this.

Hahaha. Very amusing nonsense from you this morning on a quiet day in the office for me. Thanks.

So she’s the first musician in history to misrepresent herself to get clicks?

Is that why everyone’s so upset?

I mean there’s a news week article about her and they’ve actually tried to background check her, its kinda creepy when you think about it.

No, you don’t see it. It’s this conflict driven narrative that she is appealing to. There’s few things that generate more clicks than claiming cancel culture victimhood.

You have sought out her music. That’s her business model.

She’s playing to a gap in the market. We’re in agreement. It’s more grist for the mill.

Comedians are another good example, controversial comedians used to be hated by the right, now if they’re controversial they’re hated by the left.

Yes, bring up Ricky Gervais as an example of a cancel culture victim. Please.

Was a discombobulating moment for me I was expecting a iggy azalea or worse.
Then wonder what the carry on was for. She’s obviously manufactured a backstory. It’s kinda how the world works.

Nah this is bullshit. Again.

Listen to Bill Burr's opinions on the topic. He nails it 100%.

Any comedian who claims they are being cancelled for jokes is either a shit comedian or a liar.

Nothing has changed in the world of comedy. Good stand up is good. Bad stand up is bad.

Good stand up is built on a foundation of 'punching UP' not punching down. Think of your George Carlins and Bill Hicks rallying against conservative culture and puritanical bullshit. There's a reason they're considered among the greats of all time.

Punching 'down' is just bad comedy. If you're using stand up to attack trans or gay people, or minorities... you aren't being "cancelled" when people tell you that it's just not good content.

I wasn’t thinking about Gervais.

And I wasn’t thinking about cancel culture, people can’t really be cancelled anymore.

I was saying hated.

For example?
