If we were to rest Tex for 2-3 games this year, this would be one of the games due to the heat and humidity. Maybe add an extra runner. The last two Brisbane games have been scraps. Felt we looked a bit fatigued at times today. Could easily see a very fresh Gold Coast running on top of us with us coming off a 6 day break, and exposing our key backs with King.
Particularly with the short turn around.

Curtin up forward. Perhaps Jones in for Curtin as 3rd wingman. How did he play on the weekend?

We need Butts & Nankervis in to improve our defence.

Draper for Rachele & Taylor to sub if Pedlar didn't set the world on fire.

Sitting eastern side today, the sun was belting down, it actually felt like 30 degrees, even though it officially only got to 23.
Players were clearly fatigued, it was bloody warm.

Tom Morris just reported that the club is saying “suspected broken ribs’ for Rachelle.
Bugger.
Buggar as was in great form.

Hopefully nothing more serious.

OUT:
Rachele (injured)
Milera (Omitted)
Sholl (Omitted)
Draper (Sub)

IN:
Nankervis
Dowling
Draper
Taylor (Sub)

Milera very clearly needs a rocket, make him go DEMAND a spot in the seniors.
Sholl is just not a finals calibre player, bounces off players when tackling.

Nank off half back, Dowling off the wing, Sid in the guts.

Have to bring Butts in to stand King - Borlase out
Nankervis to replace Milera in defence. Milera goes to sub - coach won't drop him! Sholl could also be the sub.
Draper from sub to take Rachele's position in the forward lines/midfield.

Despite what some have written here, I didn't think Borlase was too bad today. Agreed that he's barely at the standard, but competed strongly in the packs and did some good punching to the boundary when it mattered

Broken ribs is like 6 weeks, you don't want to come back too soon from that, or you'll crack them again like Greenwood did in the grand final
Unfortunately youre right. Its about a 4-6 week injury depending on the severity and flying only exacerbates the pain experienced. That would likely rule out a return against Freo in Perth.
Looking ahead at the fixture this would mark his potential return around R8-Carlton or R9-Showdown both at AO.

Jones not well.

Nankervis comes in

I'd rather drop Keane in that instance.

Has had a poor start to the year, and Butts didn't play that well on the weekend.
They're not dropping Keane before Borlase

Borlase is obviously first out and only played yesterday because Butts missed some preseason

Borlase only stays this week if we think Keane (or Borlase) can go head to head with King. I don't think either are capable
