I don’t know what to make of our game plan - what I do know is why we leave it to close games in the end and toss of the coin result

Our zoning is pathetic. We are allowing too many easy marks and chip kicks

And lastly our forwards are hopeless defensively

In the past month we've been destroyed by Brisbane, and against Adelaide and Essendon they dominated us for 75% of the game.

Hard to know if our game plan has been worked out, or the boys have just dropped off in form.

Almost as if we've had to completely change the way we play due to injury

I warned whoever would listen before the game that Sydney weren't anywhere close to the rabble they'd have you believe.

Outside of the Geelong game they've been super competitive over the last month and with such an even spread of talent across the ground they match up so well against us.

I'd be moving Nick to half forward to try and provide some forward spark because all of Elliott, Hill and McCreery haven't fired a shot offensively as yet.

Make no mistake Sydney are garbage and are no chance of playing finals, we've been out of form for the past month and just scrapping by.

All our small forwards have been shocking, Elliot is playing another stinker too.
They have to be smarter and open it up.
Sydney notoriously clog up the D50 Elliott and Hill are so quick on the lead yet we keep bombing it in.

Poor instructions from the coaches as Sydney have stopped our run and have used the corridor at will and got out the back too easily.
We run a massive risk pushing up to retain territory as Sydney are so well drilled and great in the contest.
They are waiting for turnover and torching us on the spread.

To be fair with he puts we have had, it hasn’t been easy for the team with players been thrown around with different roles.

Still the margin is only 8 points. We can win this if we pull our finger out in the second half. But the effort has to be there. So far it hasn’t.

Right now we're missing Howe Lipinski and Darcy Cameron, that's pretty standard, many other teams have more worse injury lists than ours. It's almost as if, other teams get injuries too.
So we're missing our first ruck, first centre-half forward, second key defender, and one of our best ball users in Cameron, McStay, Howe and Lipinski respectively.

You must be seriously dense to try and imply that missing so much of our spine is similar to most teams.

I think the forward line looks like there is no space. Swans just throwing everyone down there. Ginnivan at least has the footy smarts to help in this area.

Otherwise we have just got to keep running it and scoring for 50m

McStay 😂

Looks like we’re regressing? - we have been improving out ladder position and were Top of the ladder last round..
I'm talking about the way we play, not the results.

How you win actually matters and even compared to last season I think we're playing worse in Q1-3.

This. Forward pressure was great early. Only 13 tackles outside of forward 50 for the half, which allowed their uncontested marking game to flourish. Need to ramp up the intensity and look after the ball more (63% efficiency).

We have been poor kicking into 50. Our forwards are missing. We fail to adapt in defence when we need to man up instead of zoning. We lack physicality and cannot hold tackles. Too many passengers. Elliott needs a spell. We need to explode with the wind in the 3rd because we are unlikely to score into the wind in the last

Maynard, Murphy, Adams, IQ, JDG, Mitchell, Crisp, Brodie, Beau, Frampton - and you say we lack physicality?
I think you’re drunk.
