Some ****ing idiot (me) decided that getting back to Perth today was a good idea.... I've been in SE asia for a while and I swear my body found new places to sweat today, ****ing hell. Went down to the club for a little hello but it was after training was finished.

Club really impressed with Archer Reid, Gross, Allan, Graham so far this preseason. Really exceeded expectations.

The Pinjarra camp seemed a good idea, semi-military teamwork drills, great for bonding outside of the footy bubble. Can really see a whole different process in action with all the changes in staff. Don't recall too much of this stuff with Simmo, just dog races on the beach? ((;

Bit of a write up on Van Es that (unsurprisingly) doesn’t provide a lot of new or detailed information/analysis

Basically says if he gets his body right he has the physical attributes to be a very good player.

Looks like Harley just missed the boat when bringing his dog over.

Hewett's the smartest bloke at the club. I'm sure he could've gotten a special exemption for being a public sports figure blah blah blah, but picked the perfect 40 degree day to undertake his civic duty. What a guy

This is interesting. Imagine he actually got selected for the jury and it was a major murder case that went for months. He ends up missing a chunk of the season cause he has to be in court instead. Unlikely but definitely possible.

No training appearance for you to Keys?

Could really do with a report today….

Any midfielder crossing the 50m arc through the corridor with no forward pressure should be thinking goals, unless there's someone clearly open.

Something Shuey could have done more of instead of looking for JK but he made up for it by mostly finding JK.

This is why Duggan needs to improve his goal kicking, he can get himself into good positions in the corridor and can cover a decent distance but is a horrible shot on goal.

No one can change my mind that fat gov = best gov.

The guy built his name on playing lazyman footy - watch the play unfolding ahead of you, use your footy IQ to work out where the ball's gonna get kicked, are go sit in that spot. No running, no spoiling, just park your dumptruck under the ball and enjoy your post-game KFC Family Feast buckets.

Something we can all aspire to.
Unfortunately gov doesn't have schoey and shep covering his man anymore .

Fairly certain the south West pre-season training camp is an annual event. Have seen similar photos in previous years.

They haven't done the full club one yet. That'll likely happen the week before the Bunbury preseason game I would think.

So it is an annual event?
They were in Dunsborough last year. Can't remember where they were the year before that. It's not always south but they do get out of Perth every year for training, bonding and community events.
