Hawks were plukd
Hinkley clukd
Fort rukd
Swans sukd
And yet… here you areRoses are red
Violets are blue
This poem is shit
And so is this Fred

False rhymes and assonance allowed. Scansion/rhythm is the key feature of poetry, but even that's not hard and fast eg Chronz excellent haiku has 6 syllables in the first line doesnmatterer, it works.maybe not on technicality but still a verrry near rhyme
There once was an Albert from Tulla,Go on…
And then…There once was an Albert from Tulla,
Who was feeling a little off colour
But Dank gave him pills
Turned him brown, gave him thrills
And landed him in front of WADA
And then…
Naicos is yet to take a contested mark
He uses a nightlight to avoid the dark
He can barely even handle a bump
His own shadow even makes him jump
