Player Watch Pick #55 (2021) - Hugh Jackson

Played really well in the 3rd quarter, other than the 4 x 25m penalties, and was key part of setting up 3 of our 4 goals in the 3rd quarter with the wind, and did a few good things in the last quarter. I missed the first quarter and a bit of the 2nd and only really noticed him a couple of times in the 2nd quarter.
Is a footballer, in the Roger James mould.

In my opinion Jackson is close to (if not the) most highly skilled fringe player on the Power list.

Over the years we have had a number of AFL regulars returning from injury who couldn't get anywhere near the ball at sanfl level, yet after not playing a game for something like 9 months he has come in, found the footy straight away and had a positive effect on the result for a team that before his inclusion was struggling to beat time on a drum.

Sure he needs to bulk up to get to the next level, and I doubt we would be silly enough to cut him, but if we do I could see the tingles pouncing immediately.
